Got these for my car the last day, and used the first three(car wash, vinyl+leather polish, and tire shine) today
As its all waxpol (Indian Company), I guess they are not fakes!

I'm thinking of getting the tire shine too.I saw it being used when I got my new tires and they really do they're job.
How often do you use it? Once/Twice a week/month?

I used the tire shine only once. I guess once in 4 -6 weeks is enough for the tire shine use. Same for the vinyl/leather polish. The waxing can be done once in 4 months.

nice thread blackasta!

Just a quick question, does the dash reflect in an obtrusive way in direct sunlight? is it disturbing?

Nice tire rim combo, looks great

The dash does reflect onto the front windscreen, and sometimes it is obtrusive. But as my earlier car also had a beige dash, and a windscreen which was not as good as it should have been, I face no problem whatsoever.

Dent update:

In these 2 months, I managed to get the following dents and scratches on my car, courtesy the great Kolkata traffic system!

1. BIG dent in left rear quarter panel - sumo bullbar
2. scratch (paint stripped) on left front fender while parking - courtesy my dad (the 'ab scratch lag gaya' type situation)
3. scratch on left ORVM - courtesy big bad blue old bus
and the icing on the cake
4. A LOOONG scratch + dent starting from front door + b pillar + rear door + rear quarter panel - courtesy 'the indigeneous cyclevan'.

Gave it in to Mukesh Hyundai workshop - IFFCO TOKIO shall cover all the right side patchup, and I shall be paying for the left side stuff (they are old + my fault). Shal be paying insurance co pay 500 + something aroung 4.5K (front fender paint + left ORVM paint + left rear quarter panel change) = total 5000 out of pocket!
guess I need some wishes people :(

Mukesh Hyundai workshop(Jessore rd) did a good job - I cannot make out any dent or paint job done shabbily. But they need to improve on their cleanup before delivery (My car had white putty/fragments of masking tape on a few places over the car, and they are a pain to remove!). Total paid 5700 (including 500 for insurance copay).
I shall be posting pics of the car over the weekend of the repaired portions.

You are doing the right job in maintaining the beauty though its difficult to maintain Black.

My cent: Just ease of the accelerator when you reach 2500 rpm, it will slot into higher gear then go on. This will take time to practice, but you will fetch more mileage even in city.

The FE figures you have mentioned are with AC? I get 15 km in city in MT when filled her with IOC normal.

Yup, I do just that every time it is possible.

The FE figures are with AC on 50% of the time.

Washes my car today, and in the process realized that the dent/paint jobs were good. There were a couple of dirt specks in the paint, but other than that, its done nicely.

Posting a few pics of the repainted areas:

The entire front/rear door area below the body side molding had scratch + light dents

Repainted Mirror

The rear quarter panel below the fuel lid had a BIG 7-8 inch dent

The right side close up - notice the accidental glazed marks of vinyl and leather cleaner. Had to work with my microfiber towel to wipe those off.

The front bumper + left fender was painted as well

All these stones were lodged in my tires (Notice the broken glass shards and the tiny ball bearing!!)

All done for today !!

great pics, bro! Your car looks stunning in black. I'm surprised more i10 owners didn't opt for it!

Nothing is more satisfying than washing your car and admiring it afterwards

Busy people do not buy black cars

last tankful returned a pathetic 10.7 kmpl.
But on 7 out of 10 journeys that week (to/from office 5 days a week), it took me 1.5 to 2.5 hours to traverse a distance of 23 kms which I use to do in 35-45 minutes flat - such was the traffic condition. Can you guys believe it - 23 kms in 2.5 hours - the car almost always ran on 1st and 2nd gears.

Fantastic pics - Great stuff.

I do see a few i10s in Delhi which are loaded with dust and other scratches/dents. Your pics made me realize how beautiful i10 can look even in the black color.

Thanks svaid - as I said, I aint that busy a person - so I have all the time in the world to keep a black car shining

On a serious note, got a few questions for fellow bhpians

1. Has anyone fitted the illumination control switch in i10 which wildon has in his i20? (Part No: 94950-1J0009P)
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1612685-post108.html

2. My windscreen washer fluid (both front and rear) likely has run out. Does anyone know whether we need to fill the fluid for the rear wiper-washer assembly separately somewhere else or it gets the supply from the main washer fluid tank?
Also - any special suggestions/ recommended washer fluids?
