thanks, the price when i got the car was 5.7 Lakh on road, i think there are many offers on right now.Its better to check with the dealer.

I have not yet got the OVRM's painted planning to get it done at the time of service.

The blacking of the B pillars was done my me after getting the car, it does not come with the active model.

If you need any help with dealer (prerana motors sarjapur road) please let me know.

3000 Kms update, first service done

Just got back my car after the first free service.Gave the car to Prerana motors service centre on hosur road at 9 am , car delivered back to my office at 6:30pm.

All reported issues were addressed , all in all i am more than happy with TATA/FIAT A.S.S.

Millage in bangalore city b2b traffic with 50% A.C. is 15 kmpl .

EDIT : disparately looking for Punto/Linea 15" Alloys

Fiat Punto MJD - Active : 8000 km update : Another satisfied Fiat customer

Time to upate the thread with some observations/experiences

I have completed 8000 KMs on my beloved Punto MJD .Here are some updates.

The engine has become super smooth noise and vibrations have reduced to a great extent.
And it has become much more responsive.

The car is an absolute joy to drive on the highways or the city with the perfectly weighted steering that provides adequete feedback.

I feel the suspension setup is the best among all cars in this range.

Another observation is the number of turns of the steering that need to be made to U turn the car on open ground is far less as compared to i-10/swift.Not that the turning radius is less but the turning of the steering is far less for same amount of turn which is good.

Millage :
City : 15-16 kmpl Ac on all the time (moderately spirited driving)
Highway : 20-21 kmpl AC on all the time ( spirited driving)

Problem :
The beading on the rear doors had started to rust on the inside.
Contacted the service advisor about the same on the phone . the part was ordred and delivered in 2 days.
I got a call from the servide centre and the part was replaced free of cost no questions asked,
there was no rusting on the chassis or door only the beading was faulty.

All in all i am another satisfied FIAT customer, they have not given me any reason to complain so far.

The serivce level is at par or even better than most companies.

Had a small meet with Fiat a QA person last week according to him Linea T-jet and Punto sport are coming in 1-2 months testing is already done.

Mods : please edit the title to "Fiat Punto MJD - Active : 8000 km update : Another satisfied Fiat customer."

Here are some snaps of the car.

Looks like the rear beading rusting is becoming a common problem. Anyways good to know of the improved service levels.

Manu, where's the second pic taken with the 3 fiats and the Santro. Looks kind of familiar to me.

The 3 puntos picture is taken on the way to krishangiri higway where ccd and 1 more resturant is located next to a petrol bunk. The 3 puntos at the same place happened as a coincidence there were 2 more which are not in the picture.Whenever i head to the highway i always spot many punto's.
