No. I did not check instantaneous FE at that point. Next time, I would do it.

Great going Ravi. The best part in the Linea is that you dont even feel that you are doing a 160! The vehicle is so much planted to the road and the mechanical grip is defenitely awesome!

Thanks a lot, NutsNBolts & anachronix, for the compliments. During my Maruti Suzuki Omni days, whenever I touched 100 kmph speed, I used to feel as if I was going in a rocket. After I upgraded to Versa, I used to feel jittery when I crossed 130 kmph speed because of its high centre of gravity. Now, it is sheer blissful experience to drive my Fiat Linea at 160 kmph feeling totally comfortable, well-secured and fully stable.

i should tell you that even if you push more it will still feel stable. believe me i have touched 180 during my recent yercuaud trip and still felt stable . not even the steering became light. I still had enough space in the pedal to push for more since the car was grounded well but rational thinking prevailed abd i deferred from it.

I sincerely vouch for the stability. My father has a verna 1.6xi petrol. though it is a great powerful car i never have the confidence till now to rev it above 140 as the steering becomes very light and the car starts vibrating all over and veers around with the slightest nudge on the steering wheel .

It is a different story about linea all to gather.

I recently bought Formula 1 Carnauba Wax from ebay.in for Rs 99+gift voucher of Rs 200. I was using Waxpol liquid polish for my previous vehicles, Maruti Omni/Versa. Today, I water-washed, dried with microfibre cloth, applied Formula 1 Carnauba Wax and polished my Fiat Linea. My major observation was, earlier traces of paint used to be there on the polishing cloth. Today, with Formula 1 Carnauba Wax, absolutely there was no traces of paint on the polishing cloth. My Fiat Linea is now glittering and shining as could be seen from the following photographs:

Shine is pretty smooth ravi. Which was the dealer on ebay? This product is available with a number of them, but quite a few of them are fake. Since you have used this product, your dealer can be termed safe.

Thanks, bnzjon & geeash. When I had used Waxpol liquid polish in my earlier vehicles, I used to observe paint traces on the polishing cloth, perhaps due to mild abrasives. So, I restricted polishing once in a year or so. But now, it is totally different with Formula 1 Carnauba Wax. So, I intend to wax my Fiat Linea once in 6 months at least.

looks very nice Ravi, especially the last pic. i havent spotted a FTA Linea yet on road. Saw a SX4 of almost similar color, it was looking really cool

sdp1975, I do not use rubbing compound because it contains mild abrasives resulting in removal of micro layer of paint while rubbing. For new cars, rubbing compound is not recommended.

I started using wooden wedges when my Fiat Linea is parked in the garage in view of complaints from some BHPians against hand-brake getting stuck, even though I never faced any problem. Nowadays, I do not use hand-brake for overnight parking in the garage but only reverse gear engaged [front facing downward slope] and wooden wedges. Many years ago, these wooden wedges, made out of waste teak wood during our house construction, were given to me by my late father with advice to use them for long-term parking without hand-brake. I started following his advice now.
