If I remember right, it is the Vocal white colour and not Bossa Nova White. Vocal white was discontinued due to some probems with the paint's longevity I guess.

Yes it was the Vocal white that is discontinued, due to adhesion issues with that colour.

Cheers,

congrats on the car....

i like both the bossa nova white and the vocal white colours on the linea as well as the punto. they somehow seem to make the car look much bigger and accentuate the lines pretty neatly.

mind you, the bossa nova and the vocal white are pretty much identical in colour aren't they?

anyways...drive safe and stay sane.

Trip to Wayanad

Made a 730 km trip to Wayanad over the last few days. She did the bad stretches of the Nagarhole->Kutta section really well. Parts of the roads were *really* bad. There were also a couple of occasions where the bottom was scraped, but the sump guard came in handy. As always, she behaved impeccably on the highway stretches.

Took her to concorde(dairy circle) today and got the following niggling issues fixed :

1) rear wiper had come off - replaced under warranty.

2) front LHS indicator blew while returning from Wayanad - replaced

3) Mudflaps fixed

4) Back RHS door beading had come off - replaced

5) Back seats were not locking properly - fixed.

I asked them to wash my car - it had become dirty after the trip. Guess what, they did a full wash and everything above free of cost !

So far my experience with my Punto has been much more than I could have asked for ( touchwood ).

Rajesh, great to know of another bhp-ian in the same apt complex. I've got the "Live to Drive" stickers affixed on my rear bumper - so you should have no difficulty in recognizing me or my car either.

Got seat covers done yesterday, art leather at 3.5 K. The color "matching" of the seats with the black/gray interiors of the Punto have come out well as can be seen in the pics below.

Yes, the fitting of the seat covers is not that skin tight at a few places, but I'm happy with it. It's not as bad as it appears in the pics .

Did my first service at 3113 km after finishing a pondy trip. Topped up fluids, attended to some minor complaints. No engine oil change. Satisfied with the ASC. The SA was asking me to get the undercoating done - 3M sunshine at around 2300/- incl tax, but I decided against it.

Some pics of my recent trip to Pondy. Overall mileage was 20 with 50 % ac. On the Bangalore->Krishnagiri stretch, I got a mileage of 23

She's beautiful , isn't she ?

SDP your car looks beautiful like a dove in white, I missed this thread somehow. Keep up updated.

I dont like these ugly mudflaps available at Fiat dealerships, i am still not able to find any decent mudflaps for my Punto, the reason why it still does not have mudflaps.

Any particular reason why SA is asking you to get 3M undercoating?

Thanks anshuman and recshenoy.

I fitted those mudflaps since the car was getting really dirty in the rains, they are not really that aesthetic in terms of look.

The manual says that there's an anti-rust coating in the vehicle, so I did not spend another 2.3 K for the undercoating. Especially in Bangalore weather,it's not necessary. I ran my old M-800 for 5 years without any undercoating and there were no problems.

I think all SAs have their targets to reach that's why he was asking me to get it done.
