congratulations for the dashing car.

where are the headlight/ wiper/indicator switches located in punto? i mean its a LHD setting like spark or a regular RHD setting?
does the type of setting matter too much or i sit easy to get used to?

Folks, I completed 17,700 KMs on my GP MJD 1.3. The recent trip to Jaipur was a quick one. Left Mumbai on Thursday 18th Feb 2010 and was back in Mumbai on 24th Feb 2010, afternoon.

Purpose: To celebrate my daughter's first B'day with her Grand Parents.
Vehicle: Grand Punto MJD 1.3
Route: Mumbai - Baroda (NH8)
Baroda -Ahemdabad (NE1)
A'Bad - Udaipur (NH8)
Udaipur - Chittaurgarh (NH76)
Chittaurgarh - Bhilwara - Kishangarh (NH79 - NH 79A)
Kishangarh - Jaipur (NH8)
Total Distance: 2670 KMs
Fuel: 127 Liters
Average Fuel Consumption: 20.8 KMPL (100% AC On)

I'm more and more falling in love with my car as I take it on long drives. GP is fun to drive on long journeys and it never let you lose your confidence when you are behind the wheels.

Here are the few pics taken during my journey, enjoy them watching and will post more soon!

Congratulations! the pictures are very nice. I really liked the 7th photo, that was taken with the lights on. The swift really look cheap infront of Punto. How is the headlight, is it OK or upgrade is required?

Enjoy and drive safe!

Excellent pics Sandeep! I loved the first and the seventh snap.

I had a couple of questions on the music system.

1. In the Emotion variant, there is no support for Aux and USB. Any possiblity of getting a music system upgraded to the one on Emotion pack?
2. On the Emotion variant, when I press the CD button the second time, I see a "AUX" display coming up. Does the variant have an AUX input? If so, where is the AUX port?

On a different note, I seem to be getting low FE on my car. The car is past 3500kms and the first service. I average about 13.5kmpl with the AC on most of the time.

I drive predominantly in the city in heavy traffic areas. Is this a normal or I can get better with change in driving style? Anybody who drives in South Bangalore predominantly could you share your FE numbers?

That's the kind of mileage I get in South B'lore traffic with a/c.

Excellent report there SanDev! And Fantastic pics too, I'm a fan of your flickr stream

I too felt the same as you mentioned about the perceived increase in sound from the engine beyond 120kmph. Are you planning on doing some sound damping for this?

Thanks Praful, thanks for stopping by at Flickr as well. Hey about the engine sound you mentioed, infact I love it . Well at times I do agree what you said but right now, listening to music at high volume is the only option I can think of it . I haven't done anything for sound damping but yeah..its on my list. But right now my first priority is to get better new shoes for my car.
