good deals on Verna cars

Heard that there are some good deals on Verna cars happening at dealerships this season. The pre facelift versions are going at a whopping 1lac discount and over and above this you will get exchange & corporate discounts too, maybe total value will be close to around 1.3 lacs!

Ride is fine, handling not yet put to test.

The fit & finish of seat covers are not up to the mark.
Well, if you are talking about the creases, those are a part of the seatcover design. Otherwise the seatcovers are fitted nicely.

40K service update

Got the service done from HMP Delhi. Total cost: INR 6081.

Parts:

1. Engine Oil
2. Stabilizer Bar Bush
3. Square ring
4. Injector gasket
5. Injector O-ring
6. Diesel filter
7. Air filter
8. Oil filter
9. ECU cover (FOC)

Part no 2 was replaced due to some funny souds from the suspension.
Part no 3,4 and 5 were replaced after the injectors were cleaned. Now, the car is no more a smoke machine.

Please note that Hyundai are adding the ECU covers FOC on all vehicles as a part of their campaign. Those who don't have the ECU covers can get them installed at H.A.S.S.

Current ODO: 40750kms.

Great car, great mods! Love your alloys! I too am enjoying my Verna CRDi SX to the max. It is a beast on the road and very frugal too. I am getting a consistent FE of 18 kmpl (mixed driving).

Could you post a pic of the ECU cover? When did Hyundai start installing them? I am not sure if my August 2009 manufactured Verna has the ECU cover.

Enjoy your ride!

Check out in the pic. The ECU is just behind the air filter box:

A dark blue Verna Crdi is the car i'm currently being ferried around in (til i get my LS ).

Have to say, it is a SUPERB car. Sometimes when the driver isn't available, I drive it. Get a great feeling when i floor it.

I think it should be. Coz Getz CRDi shares the same ECU with Verna CRDi. BTW where is the ECU located in your car?

aZa, get in touch with your advisor @ HMP. He will be in a better position to answer.

Just upgrade with a good air filter, that would solve much of your smoking problem and not to mention the fuel as well from COCO filling station.

Seems to be you are ripping it every gear.

I clean the filter religiously every 2K kms, and get a new one at servicing which is done after every 7K kms.

No wonder. Verna owners get that ripping feel in every gear and every drive. I love to drive the Vehicle on Highways.

The kind of feeling it gives, you would not even want to listen to any music but enjoy the powerful drive.

I have done 76000k till now.Regular service every 7000k.Problems from 48000k.Changed clutch front headlamps wiper blades brake pads front .Fan belt change some noise from engine, changed pulley sound did not disappear so this time changed the belt timer. It seems the newer versions of Verna have two timers for the belt mine older version so only one timer for the belt.Pending rear brake pads for change in 3000k.I have regular long run to districts and I still clock 180kms/hr on express highways beyond that the vehicle is not controllable. Performance satisfactory till now. Mileage 14-15 on city and 16 on highways.
