Nice review and thats a lot of odo.

Impressive mileage; is it coz the way you drive it & use of clutch that causes premature clutch replacement?

Honestly, i thought it was the way i drive. but it was an gearbox input shaft oil seal failure both times. according to the workshop guys, the gearbox is the weakest link in the car and it is handling as much as it can in the current tune.

i havnt heard of anyone else facing this issue not not really convinced by that answer but hoping for the thing to last this time around.

Your mileage of 12+ in city interests me. What percentage is bumper-bumper traffic on your daily route? To be honest, I have never got more than 9 kmpl in city :-(
my commute though termed as city happens mostly on the NH4 bypass so cant really call it city driving. i drive about 40 kms daily and 20 out of that is in the proper city so that should give a fair idea i guess.

Update Update!!!

The car is now officially 2 years old and clocked 53000 kms just as i got to ofice today. YAY!!!
Been through a lot of roadtrips in the last couple of months. did a couple of Goa runs and just got back from a 5000KM drive to Jim Corbett National Perk and Nainital.
The car consistently gave me a mileageof 13+ with speeds exceeding 150-160 more often than not.
No complaints with the car nor have i had a breakdown till date. Happy camper continues to munch miles.

Attaching a couple of pics we snatched a while back.

MODS: please update the thread title accordingly.

Thanks,
Kiran

Wow! You're crunching miles pretty fast. Taking the kilometers that you've clocked so far into consideration, I feel that you should have bought a Fiat Palio 1.3 MJD! I'm just kidding

The pictures that you've shared with us are absolute drool material and having said that, I'm expecting you to share more pics that you had clicked during your trip to Goa, Jim Corbett Park and Nainital. I'll be very pleased if you upload more and more pics.

I loved the white alloys and the sticker job! It makes your Fiat Palio look more hotter.

Few queries :

1) The rear wiper looks a bit misaligned. Please get it rectified when you visit the service centre next time.

2) What brand are those alloys? I guess that it is 98 PCD.

3) Do you plan for any performance modifications?

Always wear your seat-belt and drive safe. Don't forget to update this thread regularly with the pictures of your car!

EDIT: I rated 5 stars to this thread

well, some pics of the road trip as requested for...

Please note that the Endy is not mine. I work for Motoroids and the Endy was a test car provided by Ford for this road trip.

Hello Klub, answers inline:

I wanted to car to look different but not be a cry for help. this is the best i could come up with. any further suggestions are most welcome.

Few queries :

1) The rear wiper looks a bit misaligned. Please get it rectified when you visit the service centre next time.

The wiper probably just looks that way in the picture. it is positioned correctly and works just fine.

2) What brand are those alloys? I guess that it is 98 PCD.

Alloys are by EVO but same ones are available in Lenso as well. D08 if i remember correctly. and no they are 100 PCD. the thing is, i'm using them with wobbly bolts. i havnt had much of an issue with them being 100 PCD except at exactly 170 kmph when i get a slight vibe in the steering. beyond that, its smooth sailing again. dont really feel the need to do anything more right now. got bigger plans

3) Do you plan for any performance modifications?

Definitely have plans for performance mods but i cant seem to find anyone who is willing to work on this engine without first thinking about screwing things up. i know that the engine may not be the easiest to work on but its not impossible. i have gathered a lot of intel on what i can do to this engine and time permitting, i may do it as a DIY

Brilliant pics. And beautifully maintained car for the kilometres run.

The road trip pics: the car looks pretty loaded at the rear!

Cheers

Stunning pics. The color and the back ground coupled with the lighting is making the pictures wallpaper stuff.

Keep it going.
