I am getting it registered today.
Yeah i too had to drill a hole. They have given you screws for both front and back number plates. Hope you found it in your glovebox.

I'm not sure whether i'll do it anytime soon. I feel its good to have something like this especially on a red coloured car. It keeps the bad eyes away. Maybe i'll get it done later on. Another idea i have (this might sound stupid) is to leave the bumper as it is and just do a touch up on the body part that has lost paint so that there is no rusting problem.

Sorry about the scratch, hope the bumper is not punctured or torn, though. |
The bumper is punctured but not torn apart.
The quality of the interiors is above average. I would say much better than direct competition. The dash board lay out gives you a feel of driving a much bigger car and the from windscreen that starts way below gives you a good view. It also makes you not realise that you are actually sitting low. The control stalks are very well placed and feel good to use.
The door pads too seem to be of good quality. No rattles so far from anywhere. Fit and Finish is good with regard to plastics. I noticed a welding near the rear hatch that was not smoothened up. Will post pictures of this later.
The best thing is the quality of the OEM seat cover. It feels good and does not look bad either. I'm sure this is one the the OEM seat covers you can live with for long. However an art leather cover with a lighter shade would give the much needed plush feel.
The small buzzer like sound (its there on all fords) when the turn indicators are on feels good.
There are a few things that give you a feel that ford did not realy focus on cost cutting. They just shared parts and passed the beneft to the customers (unlike some other brands who dont bother to transfer even part of excise benefits they get, let alone shared parts
)
- The theatre style lights on the instrument panel
- The in cabin light with timer
- The double beadings on the door
- The Fabric Inserts on Door pads right from the Exi variant
- Lights on power window switches and headlight adjustment knob. This is a boon in the night.
- Full instrument Cluster (including Tacho) right from Exi variant.
Overall I'd say a great value for money proposition. If the market still keeps its "my neighbours car brand" attitude...well what do i say...its their loss and its their destiny.
