This happens due to toe-in adjustment.

The other way to adjust the steering wheel mis alignment by getting it straight and then adjusting the toe as well as the castor and camber.

However this noise really irritates me every day. Pls suggest how to get rid of this.
I have a Cruze AT too, and I posted this issue here too. Are you sure it is a tyre noise? I don't think so. Try this: suddenly switch to neutral gear while at 40-45kmph and you'll find that the noise vanishes. Please let me know what you observe.

Update :-

White Annihilator has got some company and I am sure she will feel a lot less lonely now that Kate has joined her.

I hope " Kate" is going to enjoy my company as well going forward.

P.S: Kate is perhaps the only woman I know who does not mind being told "shut up" (not that she pays any heed)

Pictures and details will come up on sunday/monday.

Till then, keep a lookout!

^^ Am guessing that you have installed a GPS system in your car and 'Kate' seems to be the voice of the system.

Congrats! Awaiting the pics and review.

Congrats. Did Kate come with inbuilt maps, or did you buy MMI or Satnav maps?

I've compared Tomtom with Garmin on the GPS thread, and Tom Tom emerged as a clear winner in the US

Now where have I heard that before?!

BTW, be careful with women like that, they have a tendency to lead you up the garden path if you are not careful.

Depends on which garden path you have in mind. If it is what strikes me immediately, I am sure mobike008 will not be a mute spectaror.

Now let's stop beating around the bush !

re: Chevrolet Cruze:“White Annihilator” has arrived EDIT: 63,500 km up and now SOLD!

Here are some pictures of "Kate" which are a combination of mobile cam pictures and a few from P&S camera taken during the Hyderabad TBHP drive meet on Sunday.

Without going into too much details and breaching confidentiality agreement with Tom Tom, I would like to mention that this device was delivered "Free of Cost' by Tom Tom.

I'am part of a select group of beta testers of their "not yet released India maps".

I have been testing their maps and providing feedback to them on a closed network over the last one week or so. Initial impression is they are fairly there ( almost 75% of map details seem accurate) in terms of accuracy of their data.

You should probably see their maps released in India during second half of 2011

Can that wire not be routed better? You could take it behind the dashboard so that it does not trail over your center console in that ungainly fashion.

Thanks for your suggestion but, in real world where you need to remove the GPS atleast once or twice a day where parking is not safe, such wire routing would not work.

Besides, I am not too concered about it's "ungainly fashion" look

I am assuming he connects that wire to the cig lighter port - so this has to come out in some way (unless mobike is willing to tamper with the wiring and risk warranty for a beta product

Absolutely right Subu. Cigarette lighter is the only source to charge the device and there is no other option but let the wire hang out from the front console. In a way, i dont mind it at all.

I think it takes one Cruze owner to understand the other

re: Chevrolet Cruze:“White Annihilator” has arrived EDIT: 63,500 km up and now SOLD!

^^ Somehow, I find that placing the GPS unit near the dashboard blocks my vision, so I always fix it to the left of the IRVM, just out of my sighting distance. Also, protects the unit from direct sunrays.

In my case, the charger wire crosses right through the windshield! Hasn't bothered me, though. Regarding a permanent solution, there is none as I never leave my GPS unit in the car, although the mount stays there, hidden from view.

It takes one cigarette lighter socket powered GPS user to understand the other!
