I am not obsessed with fancy numbers like most Hyderabad folks.

Would be happy if the total works out to 1 OR 9

On second thoughts, i wouldnt mind a 567, 6060 or a 6030

Congrats mobike008!! Looks fabulous! The Cruze does look good in white and how!
Just one small request, can you re-shoot the interiors? The pics look kinda hazzy, please?

Wishing you loads of happy miles with the 'annihilator'!!

Isn't that obsession enough?

By the way, I can totally relate to the attention you are enjoying on the roads!

Thanks DI. Will get an expert in-house photographer to click some interior pictures this weekend. Keep tuned to this thread for it.

Hey Prashant, Hope your Civic has arrived?

When do we check both rides side-by-side @campus?

There should be a 3 digit number on the sidewall for 'Threadwear'. What is it for CPC/XM1/Yoko?

160 kmph at less than 2000rpm in an MT cruze?
Can anybody confirm this.

Yes, Sir! I have started my ownership report thread.

I'm planning to do a nice photo shoot this Saturday in ISB (too bad I'm missing those chrome exhaust tips, though :(). It's difficult to do it in campus because parking isn't allowed anywhere on the roads. The main road is good but I don't see the point in drawing unnecessary attention. I'll let you know my Saturday plan and we can sync up.

Regards,
spadix

Avi,
Congratulations for the new car or i must say the beast. Looks awesome in white

This IMO is the best upgrade from a pete'd accent.

Which gear ? I don't think thats possible in any of the gears.

IIRC, 5th gear @ 2000 RPM - 100kph..

Have done 210kph (speedo) in a cruze and the tacho was hovering around the redline.

What does the 3 digit number denote in terms of wear?

I am usually in campus Mon-Thurs only. Let's hook up one of those days in near future.

Thanks Prajesh. Iam completely happy with my decision and enjoying every moment of it.

I am not sure about my earlier comment about engine rpm >2000rpm for 160kmph.

Now after some thought i beileve i saw some pictures in either NP23 or Narendra_Urs thread of Cruze doing 120kmph and RPM is <1500rpm and both own AT model

Key to Happiness

Cruze top-end version does not come with a key but, has segment first "Start/Stop" button.

As i am the first owner on this forum with a base version which comes with a key to start the car, i thought it would be a good idea to share a few pictures of key which is no less a beauty.

Quality : I saw the picture of the key of an Altis D in the thread which GTO reviewed. I agree with him completely, it's cheap coming from a high quality manafacturer like Toyota to sell that car by cutting corners as not integrating the remote into the key.

Whereas, the quality of Cruze's key is topnotch and undoubtedly gives you the feeling of owning a luxury car.

As you can see below there is a small button on the remote when pressed makes the key pop/slide out from the side. Cool feature

There is also a separate button for boot release. If you press that the boot automatically pops open. Again a super cool feature.

Here are some pictures of the "Key to Happiness"

That's neat, man! I liked the PEPS in the Cruze LTZ that I TDed (thanks to you for that as well!). I think the LT doesn't have PEPS, but I didn't know it didn't have that cool Start/Stop button too.

The key fob looks brilliant, as you said.

By the way, the LTZ does have a key just like the one in your picture. I remember Kishore showing something very similar during the TD. He had kept it in one of the cubby holes near the gear level.

I wish that I had a separate "boot open" button on the Civic's key fob, and that the duplicate key also had a remote transmitter in it (somewhat of a lesser problem if you ask me because I won't be using that on a regular basis anyway).

Regards,
spadix
