Re: Vel's Indigo Manza Aura+ QJET

Guys,
I own the first batch of Tata Manza QJet (Dec 2009) and have faced many issues since I got hold of it. But the main problem that I face is the hard clutch which gives me knee pain in city traffic and the body roll due to soft suspension.

Do any of you face similar problems?? Any idea how much it would cost to get a new clutch installed??

Also, the authorised Tata service is so expensive.. just doesn't justify for a diesel car.

Well Brian, you are not alone. There are many with the same issues. I too own one 2010 (may) model QJD and if I drive it for more than 15 minutes in stop-go city traffic, my left knee will pain for that entire day. Only option you have is to bleed the clutch. Regarding maintenance cost, it easily comes to more than 18K per year with 10k KM covering in 9 to 10 months. In TASS part cost and labor cost are more or less same !!

I own a petrol Manza(2009). From my experience, the clutch is super soft. And I haven't replaced the clutch, still stock.
As far as the body roll is concerned, well mine behaves like a boat because of the super soft suspension. Although absorbs the bumps very well while going in a straight line. But push it into a corner, and it starts rolling like a boat.

Have tried bleeding the clutch but hasn't helped much. I have driven newer cars esp petrol and they have a very soft clutch.. dunno if it's just with diesel models. Will take a chance and get the clutch changed and hope for the best.

Has the clutch master cylinder been changed at any point in time? If not then get it done as I had the same problem with my 2011 car and they replaced it after which it's been fine. If it has been changed then it might be an inherent problem with 2009-2010 models.

For knee problems drink less coffee and exercise

Re: Vel's Indigo Manza Aura+ QJET

72,500km clocked. Last Oil Change was done in Feb-2017 at 67500km at SRT TATA Motors Coimbatore
Replaced Engine oil & Oil Filter.
USED CASTROL MAGNATEC 5W-30 (Semi Synthetic).
Car is doing fine.
Free Issued the oil from Authorized Genuine Dealer in Chennai & got the work done by local mechanic.
Happy with CASTROL 5W-30 which is better than 5W30 of PETRONAS used by SRT TATA dealer in Coimbatore.
