I swear on both the points stated above, more so, on the latter. The kind of knowledge and understanding gained on everything automotive through many friends whom we have not met in person is what makes Team-BHP really special and a nice place to be in.

Thanks a ton for the wishes bluevolt and here is me and all of us in Team-BHP wishing the same to you and your family.

Great snaps there, loved the picture 862538 which beautifully brings out the City posing in a city atmosphere. I am sure with your ownership, the Venus is going to be pampered and you and your family are going to be royally pampered back in return.

@ Fellow ANHC owners,

Have you noticed shuddering/vibration while switching off the engine?

Also the power window switch set makes little noise while music is over 20 due to bass. I have set the equalizer to Energy, the noise is not there when it is on relax mode.

I tried my best to remove the adhesive marks using wax (both turtle and f1) but of no use. The car is shining but the marks which are growing darker day by day are still there. Guess I need to get them removed by detailing or some other process in next service which is due in next two months. Honda SVC has tied up with 3M for such purposes.

Hey BV,

Wish you a very happy new year!

Could you please go back to your City's service history and check how often the Oil filter has been changed?

The manual mentions a replacement schedule of 10k kms but although my City has run 15k kms, it hasn't been changed yet.

I need to have a word with Honda and Pearl Honda about it.

Also, my car had the 15k kms service today, check out the report.

Hi mate, Happy New Year 2012 to you too.

I have just checked my last service bill which has mention of oil filter cartridge costing Rs. 186. I guess this should be the oil filter itself and not any other thing. But the Honda guys have replaced mine at 5K instead of usual 10K. And in your case they haven't changed even at 15K service? Funny isn't it?

According to the manual it should be changed every 10K so make sure you get it replaced ASAP or wait for experts comment (I will suggest you to get it replaced).

I will be back in March. My Missus is doing a good job of revving up her right now and loving it.

Sorry that Venus has stained her honour.Do give her a caress of 3M during the approaching service. Can't stand the thought of her having stretch marks

Rs. 186/- That's it?

The Oil filter for my Corsa costs ~300. I'll need to check with Pearl Honda tomorrow.

Do check the maintenance chart and the service bill after you're done. I don't trust these guys to be thorough with the servicings.

Also, get the a/c vents and a/c filter checked as I mentioned on my thread.

Have you confirmed the price of oil filter from Pearl Honda? And what they said on not replacing it even on 15K KM service?

Keep Revving!

Great Pics!!! (as usual)
Looks like Nikon is fully being handled the way it should be.

Hi All - Wish you belated Happy New Year.

An update from my side.
I had been away for sometime busy in project deliveries.

Recently got the punny horn changed in warranty. The horn used to sound in 3-4 different ways at different times of the day

Completed 30K service (in 1.5 years), total service cost 29XX/- which includes Oil & Oil Filter change. As always went for Mineral Oil. In this cost the cost of Labour is the Major component.

The car still feels as smooth as I had driven brand new out of showroom.

I am too facing horn problem from past 1-2 months. Will 'try' to get it replaced under warranty during 10K service. I guess horn is the weakest part of Honda City.

2900 is reasonable amount considering the fact that it is paid service. Your running is quite high (30K in 1.5 years), I hope your car is returning good mileage figures.

Please share the break up of service cost for better understanding of labour charges.

Cheers!

Bluevolt

Is it mandatory to do the engine oil change in 2nd service?

My car has covered only 2,600 Kms and I told the SA to do the oil change in the 3rd free service which is 6 months/10,000 KMS service.

2nd free service is the first time the oil is changed.

So, I'd suggest you get the oil replaced. In the services henceforth, you can prolong the change if the car's running is very low.

Agreed with above recommendation. If you did not go with the Enthusiast first 1000km oil change then by all means get this done.
I have always felt that the OEM mineral oil serves best for Honda. It works well for 5k interval service.

I got my car serviced at nearly 16,000 km and it's working great. I get the service done at approx 6 months 5,000 km interval that suits my usage pattern.

Also recommended is that you do not switch to synthetic oil as your running seems to be really low.

All the best!

Engine oil is changed at second service which is at 5000 KMs and after this @every 5,000 KM you have to change engine oil. I will suggest you to use mineral oil only. And if your car is yet to be serviced then do get the oil changed.
