Thank you.
I got it off of ebay, dirt cheap.
199 bucks.
(just saw he has jacked it up to 359 bucks...)
And LEDs arent rocket science, so not much of a quality issue either.

The switch, in the third picture, look between the pedals.
Its a pull/push switch.

BTW, Mayank, ain't those wires hanging out are eyesores to you ? Can't you push it under the carpet or do something about it?
Also please post the ebay link for it.

No wires anywhere sir.
The one that you see is my ipod's cable hanging from within the glovebox disconnected from the HU.

Could owners please let me know if your fiestas(classics, now...:() have liners under the hood. That black mat lining the underside of the bonnet.
Also, if you have the underbody plate, right beneath the sump.

Yes. The previous one I owned (2006 classic) did have a thin lining underneath the bonnet cover.

The underbody plate was also present, as it is in all Fiestas. Good protection when you are on the highways.

You car looks familiar. Was it ever attended to at Harpreet Ford Vasant Kunj or Moti Nagar for some work? I think it was not sporting the GBHP stickers then.

BTW, excellent writeup. Good read.

Does the Fiesta trip meter have any limit? My trip meter last week went up to 2000 kms, and then abruptly came to zero. I never had any idea that it will be so.

Does anyone know about it?

Vipin Kumar.

AFAIK, neither item is present on petrol Fiestas, though a liner may be present on the Duratorq to improve NVH.

Here is a pic of my car's hood:-

Avoid Harpreet ford like a you would a dog's business!!

I have had it with harpreet ford and 100% ineptitude, and attitude.
The only reason I have been tolerating these morons is that they are easy to approach fro me, till I realized that NCR is now probably closer for me.

Lets go step by step.

Some months back, with a lot of ho-halla, the SA said that the PS is leaking, and the steering rack needs to be changed.
Ok, so I said, next time.
Next time, the fault shifted to the steering pump.
Guess what, problem still not fixed.

Then, I had to get the AC cooling coil changed, apparently a generic fail-able item on the fiesta.
The dash had to come out, so the car was kept overnight.
Morons ripped out the footwell lights, and didnt bother to re-affix it.

Now, today, I gave it for a random service, just fo the heck of it, cos I felt the engine oil could be changed, plus a lookover wont hurt.

Get this, the clock reads 83k, so I am put up for a 90 k service.
I said I dont want a 90 k service, I just need a service.
Theidiot at the desk assumed that the estimate was too high, and very high handedly said, "you want just an oil change, and a filter change?Chhottu(or something), change the estimate to 3500."
This got me fuming.
Me: I get it serviced every 5k.I dont want a 90k service, because then you wont do a 90k service AT 90k, do you understand? Do you know what to do in a service?
SA:yes yes, engine oil change, and air and oil filter.
Me: Are you a ford employee or not? whats your checklist, Thats all you do? My FNG does more than this without this naatak.

When I went to collect the car, he gave me the bill etc, and I asked him what about the general checks?
Him:Yessir, they are done.
and went back to his PC.
Me: I also know they would be done.now stop being a XXXXXXX and tell me.

checks said, aftermarket horn and air filter(what wasthe need for this check?), one rear cab light out, one wiper gone bad.

So I asked, Why the eff didnt you replace it?
"Sir, you only said, just service."

Me: Bhai, aisa hai, ye tera tamasha bahut ho gaya. Mera paisa laga hai, tere gharwalon ne nahi diya hai. Karna hai to theek se kar, varna fir alag tareeke bhi aate hain.
(Baiscally, start behaving, or else)
I was royally pissed now!
"All you did was bloody change the engine oil, and the oil filter."
Finally he got his boss, and somehow or the other I decided to move.
paid up.
Was still in two minds, when I saw the footwell lamp wires again cut loose.....AARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the last effing straw was.......look at the 2nd picture!!!

Bye bye, harpreet, and good riddance!!

The 2nd pic is quite amusing actually. But I am sure thats not what you would have felt at the end of your experience.

"Service" at most A.S.S means just oil and filter change, air filter cleaning and a wash. So its not just Ford A.S.S

Mayankk, we have three fiestas in our office and we get them serviced at Delhi ford, vasant kunj. Earlier, we used to get them done at Harpreet Ford.

At delhi ford, the staff is courteous, mechanics have good technical know-how, no need of quarreling and no need of giving constant need of reminders to the SA for the jobs.

At harpreet ford we faced the following issues -
1. Indifferent attitude of the staff
2. Poor technical skills of the mechanics
3. Jugaad work
4. Billing errors
5. Parts that were to be replaced were actually not replaced
6. Delay in work

We had filed a case against harpreet ford which was settled out of court. Since then all our vehicles have been going to delhi ford and we are very satisfied with their work. Also, i advice anyone who owns a ford car to never ever go to harpreet ford.

Replaced the wiper blades today, and saw the Bosch Aero.
Till the time my card was swiped, I was in 2 minds about paying 1400 bucks for a pair of wiper blades.
But I can tell you, its a world of difference.
The regular ones out of the box used to leave some streaks, but these are awesome.
Now, if they last too, I fully fully recommend them.

Didn't you get the sport pedals installed? They're missing in the service pics on this page.
