Appreciate your long term reports.
Updating the thread after a long hiatus (Got Married, Travel etc.). Apologies.

ODO Meter Reading : 67,XXX kms (Including 4 months of zero driving)
Mileage : 16 to 17 kmpl in city

The car still drives nice. Love the turbo surge
The clutch has become hard.I suppose its a normal wear and tear.
I would give it for over-hauling.

The 4th Service was done at 60,000 kms. The cost came up to ~ Rs.12000.
Need to re-check the bill.

No other details to write about. Its just adding up kms.

Re: My Black Mamba - VW Vento TDi - *UPDATE* 50,000 kms

I am sure after a service the cutch would be fine again.
My ODO reading is 80,XXX. The clutch feels fine, just that while the AC is on, there is a weird type of noise, which doesnt look alarming. Will get it checked in a week though.

The mileage in the city is 16-17kmpl
on the last drive to Pune (Bangalore-Pune) the mileage came to 15 kmpl. That was because of a lot of high speed driving.

You were in Pune!! When?

Well, the service center guys said, They need to overhaul the clutch. It has become very hard (induces leg-pain)

Knowing things we bhpians will focus on. Amazing mileage. I am glad the turbo surge is still there, time for another demo drive I think!

now for the part that bhpians will not focus, congrats on your marriage and travel too (especially the return section!)

back to our focus, party time!

Hi Shantanu,

Bumping an old thread! Can you please provide an update on shadowfox!

Nothing here as well - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...review-10.html

Would be glad to read a long term ownership review from someone who has crossed 1lac kms.

Cheers!

Hi Mikon!

I am bumping an old thread, but wanted to know how much did you pay for the clutch overhaul? Was the flywheel changed too?

The costs I have been hearing around are quite crazy (25k for clutch and another 22k for flywheel)

How is the black Mamba doing? Must have crossed 1 lac kms now! Can you please give a brief update on costs incurred and other details.

Cheers!

Hello Abhinav,
I paid something around 40k for clutch replacement plus service. But that was 2 years back.
Yes the flywheel was changed too.

Black Mamba was sold last year (when it was around 80k kms) which was replaced by a Laura Tsi & a Chevy Cruze. The Tsi is sold as of now though. So holding on to the diesel rocket as of now.
