re: My Black Mamba -VW Vento TDi- EDIT : 1st Service Report

Congratulations Mikon of acquiring the best TDI in the C segment. Truly amazing the number of Ventos here in the recent past and also good to know VW is gearing up in all fronts from Sales to After market.
IMO suggest you to go for all black interiors with a splash of red, would look awesome. Would be following your thread closely on your updates!

Cheers!

Great looking car there. Simply loved the black alloys. Goes really well with the car. How about a full pic so that we can see the car?
Do update us with your driving experience. Glad to hear that you are enjoying it.

The Dark Knight
Now you got me thinking!!
Any Idea How Can I go ahead with the smoke lights in Pune ?

I'm also a batman fan ! Dark Knight sounds promising.

I must give you a pat on your back for the photos. They are really good. The angles at which you have clicked them, add a whole new dimension to the Vento.

I'm not a fan of black alloys, but, they do look good here.

Congratulations & good luck.

The easiest way to get that done would be to get a film pasted on the lights, not too dark, just about enough to give a 'black-ish' look. A fellow member SuBuS got this done on his cruze a while back. His post below,

The proper way to do this however, would need opening the headlamp and spraying on the inner side. Not sure, but you can always seek help in the modifications/accessories sub forum.

Glad you liked the name!

Thanks a lot for the info!
I'm still skeptical whether the smoke lights will suit the vento or not

Well, if you go the film way, it won't cost much and you can always peel it off!

Better still, post proper front, back and 3/4 pics, will try to do it in PS for you. That way, you will have an idea before actually going for it!

Mikon, post some interior shots buddy. Any changes there? Anyways, since you are a fan of the Batman series, how about the name, Bruce?

Try photoshop to get a feel of how the car will look with smoked tail lamps.

Cheers!

mikon, CONGRATS!!! on your Black Stallion (Name suggesstion ). It looks stunning with black alloys!!! Welcome to the vento family. Any number preference for your balck beauty?

Also if you are interested you can try out the grey hood strips like the ones seen in black BMWs used in Mr & Mrs Smith. I love it!!!

My Black Mamba - VW Vento TDi - *UPDATE* 50,000 kms-black_bmw_hoodstrips.jpg

How did you fit the Kenwood dual din after replacing the original HU? Does it fit perfectly with the dash? Can you please post the pictures of it? Also please let me know the frame model that was used to fit the dual din. I want for my new vento here in Chennai. BTW mine is a white Vento HL TDI.

Nice name sir !!
Well I got the number 83 for my car. There was no preference though.

Sir, those are BMWs, and i truely love them. I had put white racing strips on my red OHC. So you never know
Mine is a trendline, so I did not have any audio system. The Kenwood dual din fit was okayish, there were some gaps, but its filled by 3M tapes. Looks good though. I'll post the pics.
Vento looks amazing in white. If you are planning to change the alloys, pleeaaase please put black ones. Congrats on your purchase!!!

Simply Wow!!

IMO this is the most dashing looking Vento on Team BHP. Those alloys are killing.

Please, could you post a pic of the Vento in full profile? And more interiors pics too.

Wishing you great time ahead with the "Dasher" (stupid suggestion may be).
