My Black Mamba - VW Vento TDi - UPDATE 50,000 kms

Visit to the workshop:
Somebody had broken the mirror glass. Might be with a stone or something.
Got irritated, called the volkwagen helpline number. They gave me the service manager number. Called him. He was having dinner. He listened to me patiently and he told the parts manager would call up within 10 mins. The parts manager called me up exactly within 10minutes and told that the mirror would cost me around 300 INR (approx) + labour. He also said, he will confirm at morning 9.30 am to confirm the availability.
All these transactions happened at 10.45pm the night!
kudos to the VW customer care

Next day as pormised, got a call at 9.30am stating that the part was available. Drove to the service center adn fixed the thing. Also as i had a feeling of the car dragging towards left, did the wheel alignment too.
Mirror + labour = 300 to 400 INR
Wheel alignment = 350 to 450 INR
Total = 850 INR

I guess it was pretty nominal.

my friend was charged Rs.900 for the palio 1.6 mirror. So VW is cheaper than FIAT!!!

Well.. its a good sign.
I wish they price it compartively cheaper.
Easy maintainance than FIAT !

As I was entering croma I noticed your car. Took pic and went inside. Kept coming back to check if the car is still around. Then went into a rather long discussion with a rep there. As soon as that discussion was over, went back to check. You had gone by then.

It was an unplanned visit to Croma. After spotting the BMamba, I was looking out for the ivory sister also, but she was not there. It was around 5:30 - 6 p.m.

If its only mirror (Not the assembly) then I paid 235/- for my Punto driver side mirror.

Well, then it is really decent price only for the mirror.
I remember, I replaced my figo's assembly at 2500 INR!

Mamba went in for a short exile.
It now touched 9000 kms.
Loving the car every-time i drive it. (Though I hate the diesel engine sound!)
I'm planning for head light change and some engine mods.
Here are some fresh pictures. Hope you like them and suggestions awaited.

How has been your experience in all those 9k Kms till date? Whats great, whats not-so great besides the engine sound?

I do have a set of DRLs. But I donot know where to fit them.

Ajay, No complaints so far. Car is performing like a gem. Mileage is constant with 17kmpl in city.
I'm awaiting for the pune meet sir!

Sirji! Im so late for the party. But then, as they say- Better late than never. Lovely car! Superb pics. The black alloys look oh-so S-E-X-Y! The car must be one of its kind in the parking lot of the office

As far as diesel noise is concerned, get damping done on the bonnet. That would reduce the noise.
Try the DRL's in place of the fogs. See how they look. If the look goes with the car, get it fitted.

Lastly, lets meet soon. At least us, in office!
