Yes, closed it though for a couple of lakhs more than what would have been fair price, but since car is good went for it.

It is company leased, so going thru loan formalities and closure of the lease by owner.

Just picked up a 2016 x3 20d x-line :). Great to drive and hopefully I can put up a review soon. Thanks for all the input.

Wow congratulations!! After launch of the all new X1 , I honestly thought that the case for an X3 was very very weak. Would love to know more about your decision making process and what tilted the scales in favour of the X3.

I believe the 2016 X-Line is updated with a larger iDrive with navigation and rear view camera.

X3 is a great all rounder and I am simply in love with my M Sport 3.0. Selectable driving modes is the best part of the crossover :thumbs up

Please post some interior and exterior pictures. Also what kind of discounts are currently on offer?

Thanks Santosh! X3 over the X1 mainly due to better noise insulation, better thigh support( especially rear seats), ride/leather quality and the joystick gear :). Yeah it does come with the navigation and the rear view camera. Really pushed hard for the 30d. But the dealer was not ready to budge below 72. Got around 7.5l off the on road price on the 20d. Posting a couple of pics.

The midlife updated model has reverse camera and a navigation, both of which were missing from the existing one that I bought.
Curious to know how you did not opt for the GLC which seems to be a better bet in terms of gadgetry and interiors and is the brand new launch, and price may be in similar range, and will surely lure away many prospective X3 buyers.

Lovely! So that's two of us moving from Laura TSI to X3! Try Sport+ once you are familiar. You will really love the RWD feel of the car.

I really hate the haggling part for these high end cars. Why can't they just reduce the price officially! How was the dealership experience with Navnit? Mine was really bad.

Merc GLC on road in BLR is Rs. 72.00 lakhs which makes it way more expensive than the X3 X-Line. At that price the X3 30d is way better value for an enthusiast atleast.

Yeah! The TSI was a beauty though. Still getting used to the size of the car. I will try the sport+ over this weekend. The haggling is really ridiculous. In fact I didn't haggle for the 20d.I just told them that I am waiting for the GLC and I was offered this price. I think could have pushed probably for a lakh more. I would rate the experience with Navnit a 6 on a scale of 10. Did you get mats from BMW or Kagu?

You'll get used to the size quickly. The turning radius is a bit larger than the Laura, so watch out for that. It's a bit slower off the line in normal mode than the TSI. And I feel that even with the 3.0! I think its the DSC which is very aggressive in cutting power to the wheels. In Sport + I get that kick from the back :D

I am still on the velour mats that came standard from BMW. Its getting a little soiled now with the rains coming in. Do note mine are black! Also the coverage of the mats is poor. Lots of exposed areas which are starting to get soiled. I tried searching for 3D mats online and even ordered a set of black Star 3D mats from Amazon only to find that it does not fit properly. I think they are made for the pre LCI. So had to return them. I am now thinking of ordering a set of original BMW all weather mats from Navnit. * See attachment. I am sure they will be crazy expensive :Frustrati

They quoted around 10,800 for these at the Hosur road showroom. I will check and get back.

Hi, since this thread is all about used x3 I have a question, I came across a pre owned x3, 30d with 49.5k km on the odometer, well maintained from the looks of it. Asking price is about 32L. Is that a good buy?

It's suppose to be a 2012 model but the vin says manufactured in 2011 October. I am also not sure if it's odometer reading is accurate. Read some theads where they suggested that typically dealers will change it by 15-20k.

I am going to check the service records and see. The only deal I am getting is 2 year extended warranty.

Is this a good buy?

If the manufacturing date is 2011, is the X3 the previous gen, model?
If so I would stay away from it.
Although it is unlikely that the odometer would be tampered with, in such high end cars, where servicing is usually also done in authorised centres.

Sumeet007, according to Vin check its "X3 F25 X3 30dX" model. is that old Gen?

is there an easy way to find out? The vehicle was leased by a very famous playback singer, not that it impresses me but according to some vin check sites it should have about 65K kms on it but of course that would depend on previous owner's driving pattern.

F25 is current gen only. The F25 debuted in 2011 and saw the LCI refresh in 2014. So this must be one of the early models after the F25 was launched. I don't think the previous gen E83 ever sported a 3 litre diesel engine.

It came with the 2.5 Petrol and the 2.0 diesel if I am correct
