Re: 60-lakh rupee conundrum? EDIT: Booked Porsche Macan

The GLE 250d is a little outdated but it is a good comfortable reliable workhorse. Other options are the Kodiaq or a Discovery Sport. You might want to look at an Audi Q5 or and BMW X3 also but they are little smaller.

Having owned a Skoda before, we faced a lot of problems with the A.S.S hence would stay away from the brand.

I've heard JLR A.S.S is also in the same league as Skoda.

The thing about the Q5 is, I can't make out what, but something is just missing in the vehicle, it does not hit the spot.

Also having an X1, the X3 seems a bit weird to consider doesn't it?

The case with the Macan is that, ex-showroom is that much, but they add in a couple of basic features which push the price close to 1CR.

If you want to get your R4 performance nearly up to your brothers v6 Macan S, I strongly urge you to get a remap.
I got the Macan too and with the remap and 97 octane fuel, the car is seriously quick. As per the spec sheet of the remap, the 0 to 100 is below 5.5 !

The one in my car is a quantum remap and here are the specs: http://www.quantumtuning.in/ecu-rema...%20-%2001/2018)

The cost is nothing for the power it delivers, should cost you around 50k or so

Super helpful! Few questions, Sahil :

- How does it impact the mid-range and high end performance?
- I believe it voids the warranty - or does it? My car is 24 months old, with 35k on the clock.
- Can you DM me the details of your tuning shop?

Thanks!

It’s the mid range and higher performance that packs in the most punch. Infact I’m not sure if you find some turbo lag in the stock engine? But with the remap torque surge the rpm below 2000 feels like it has some lag, maybe because the spike is so much higher after 2000

Warranty is a grey area and it’s not necessary that they will be able to trace it unless they look for it. A work around could be to delete the remap temporarily when you send it to the Porsche workshop. And put it back once done. It doesn’t take very long.

My remap was done by Redline Autohaus, number is 9833558101

Re: 60-lakh rupee conundrum? EDIT: Booked Porsche Macan

Two cars are always better than one IMO
My ideal choice would be :-
Toyota Camry and Jeep Compass OR
3-series and Innova

You might get some discounts on the BMW and Camry
