Congrats...the A4 is a sweet car with a top dog interior and you will never miss a BMW other than when you are charging up a winding mountain road.

A luxury brand like Audi can't afford to do this Skoda-ish move.
The dealer must be telling this to only please you,i guess.

@mpower

I am with you on this ....having driven both the 320d Bimmer & the A4 2.0 TDi, I can see where you come from. Believe me I am happy at this VFM package

@ Nitrous

I quite agree with what you say - but who knows & more importantly who cares :-)

Cheers

First serious speed test !!

Driving down the NH-8, I saw a car flashing lights in my rear view ! I was doing about 90 kmph (well within the speed limit). The way this guy was flashing his lights I thought he may be in a tearing hurry for whatever be the reason so I gave him the right lane & moved into the mid-lane.

Once the car - was parallel to me - he/she kind of slowed & looked in my direction ( I assume as he had black tints ). That's when it struck me - OH it's Benz against the Audi :-) I floored the gas & the A4 downshifted & the surge of power - plastered me back in my seat & the "race began" Without giving the gory details - it'd suffice to say that he / she was a very rash driver or /and a bad one - I beat him by more than 5 car lenghts before I needed to turn at Signature Towers.

The highest I went was about 160 kmph - but I did not make any rash manouvers, infact braked at times to gauge the traffic etc etc.

All in all an exhilerating rush !!!!!! The Merc was a black C 200 kompressor....

Cheerzzzzzzzzzz

yesterday i was trailing a sober A6 for a long time, just making sure no one squeezes in between so I wont miss my view. Later I drove in front of it for some distance checking it out in the rear view mirror. The Audi front is a pleasure to watch. Somehow the new Merc and BMWs seem to be trying too hard in the looks department.

Your A4's 2 liter TDi can be remapped to 170bhp. Just a point to ponder on

Congrats. Looks great. I think BMW has lost the old bmw look, especially the rear.

Acually a remap would take it to 180 Bhp Though the present power seems "adequate" for the moment ...@ Busa how come you have not yet suggested the same

Cheers
