95 honda civic

Hey, I am picking up a 95 honda civic. Just wanted to know what would the market value of the car be? And also is it a good/reliable car? or would i be blowing away my money?
Would really appreciate your views about the same, since i dont know much about the civic generation..

If you aren't planning on modding it, why not just get a used City or Lancer instead.

Value would be nothing much, depends on engine & spec also. But in any case under 2L for a well maintained piece.

i have seen 1994 toyota crowns for 40-95 thousand rupees so so the value of 295 civic has to be less than 2 lacs ,i fact not more than 1.5 imo
and the condition of the car should be promising

Wow. Well this guy is quoting 2.80 for the 95 civic, its in a pretty good condition, no work to be done on her.
The engine is a D15b.
I took her out for a test drive and she was really impressive, the papers are all in place. Although i am planning to work on her engine in the future. So do u guys think 2.80 is a reall rip off!!!!

wickedevents, is she the Grey one in south mumbai, this one has been up for grabs for a while, but spanking condition, considering her age & if its the same one, should be 1.35L to 1.50l..If its another one youre considering then the price depends on the condition..

What ever the condition may be for 95 this is the perfect price(1.35 to 1.5) but still i would advice you to stay from the car as parts would be expensive if you re able to find them (i don't think everything is available for this model at realistic price),get a 99 model OHC v-tech for a little bit more price and you will be much happier

There was no OHC VTEC in '99 model year. They were only introduced post-facelift in the model year 2001 & onwards.

I did a check on parts, they are hard to comeby in India even at lets say the Opera House market, but easily available in Dubai & sharjah, still not as good as parts available off the shelf.

theres a 1995 RHD civic tuned and even has drag slicks and a roll cage added for sale here in UAE...the sticker on it reads power output at 260Ps.
