Yes i didi speak to the guy from Sanghi Motors and they started with 7. I am negotiating for three cars within the family. Have asked them for a better package which works out to about 1.16 lakhs per month fro 3 years on 0% interest. They have to get back to me on that. If anyone wants a car please let me know so we can negotiate tightly and get a better price.

If Mercedes really gives discount of Rs 8 lakhs, imagine how overpriced they are in the first place!

There is another thread on this somewhere mentioning 7 lacs discount.

Wait till the release date of new merc is announced, prices should fall more...

I got a little tempted...honest . I could care less about the new E being around the corner, since it looks ugghhh IMO. But then, I don't see a high differential value between the C220 & the E220 / E280. And the last thing I need is another lottery ticket for Auto Hangars service department.

The discount is accross the E class range. There is nothing called "stripped down" version - this is MB not Hyundai or Maruti

The E 220 makes the most sense IMHO, you get an E for the price of C !!

Wish I could wish away the reccession !

Cheers

If your wish indeed comes true, there would be no discount!

Discounts vary from dealer to dealer. Try speaking to V-16 & be part of the package deal. You can always get a new car with temp regn & get the regn done in your city of residence.

Cheers

How much is the E -Class in Chennai. I am in the market now with a budget of about 32-33 lakhs. Drove the 320d and was not all that impressed(maybe because I saw the M3).

Quotes (OTR) from Sundaram motors, bangalore (as on 22nd Oct):

C200 Petrol (Auto) - 35.09L (Metallic with Bi-Xenons). No manual option.
C220 Diesel - 38.6L (Metallic with Bi-Xenons) for Auto and 34.9 for manual
E220 Diesel - 49.23L (without discount)

If you dont need Bi-Xenons, reduce 88K.
