Car suggestions in the US... - EDIT: Bought BMW 330xi

Hello folks,
I might be looking out for a car this spring/summer so wanted to get some research done. I have a general idea of what I want, but am confused b/w a few choices...As per my requirements, I definetly want a car that is all wheel drive yet something that looks nice, is fast, stable and reliable...Here are the choices that I like...what do you guys feel? I currently drive a Toyota Avalon and travel frequently on the weekends...(appx 300~400 miles a week)

1) 2009 Audi A4 3.2
2) BMW 335xi, maybe 330xi or 328xi - maybe coupe
3) Infiniti G37x
4) 2008 Mercedes C300 4matic
5) Older used BMW X5
6) 2004-2005 BMW 330xi

Any thoughts appreciated...

Of all these
I'd anyday choose a 2009 Audi A4. 3.2.
Second Preference would be a 335xi.

I know its ugly as sin but how about an Acura TL SH-AWD? Or maybe an Acura RDX SH-AWD - the thing is reliable and isn't a great seller so price would be nice too.

Out of your list, 1,2 and 3 look good. My pick - a 335xi coupe.

A4 3.2!

The 2009 A4 sedan looks stunning compared to it's BMW & Mercedes counterparts. I'd choose this one. The older Audis were dull to look at - this one isn't.

Though the BMW 335 drives very well indeed, it just can't beat the Audi on the looks front. The BMW & Merc don't have very attractive rear ends.

The G37 is a good car too - premium segment and will save you a few bucks compared to the Germans.

The Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic works very well, but it wouldn't be my choice. Not unless it came without the 4Matic tag and a manual. Else, the C350 would do.

Forget the X5 for now - buy it when you have a family.

The older BMW 330 is a good buy too. It'll save you some money compared to the newer 328 & 335.

I would choose the 335xi.

However, I'd consider the Audi A5/S5 very seriously. They're one of the best looking cars but there IMO. The S5's V8 is simply marvelous.

Personally, I would stay away from SUVs - They dont do anything right. They eat gas, handle badly, and dont even have much room. Its a lose-lose situation in my books.

I also want to throw the Subaru STI and Evo X out there.

Any limits on the budget?
For a coupe, I'd recommend the G37. For a sedan,it'll be the 335xi.

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X? complete with the Rockford Fosgate system that rocks.

Another car that's absolutely making waves is the pontiac G8. Sad that its not awd.

From your list, I would draw the Infiniti.

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo MR vs. 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP Comparison Test

That's the rebadged Holden Monaro or Commodore.
Pontiac had said they might put in a manual transmission for 2009 but backed out unfortunately.

It would be Infiniti G37x for me. Almost a no-brainer!

What's your budget? With the current economic condition in the states, there couldn't be a better time to get a sweet deal on your dream machine. New cars are on heavy discounts if you negociate well. Likewise used cars are on offer at unbelivable rates, I heard of M5's going selling used at around 40k levels.
Since your region gets bad snow too, I suggest you go for an SUV. Look over craigslist, eBay motors, etc for used Cayannes & range rover sport.

Get an 08' Audi A6, I promise you will love the car. I currently own one and is just amazing to drive.

I usually find A4's a bit small, A6 is the perfect size and its got good power too. Not to mention the MMI that comes with the A6 gives you full control of the car.

The GT-R is explicitly expensive.
The Scooby has lost its image with the current gen design and platform variants.

The new lancer though tamer has just become better for on-road use.

If you are not a Badge W.... you might want to check out the Genesis V8. Lot of goodies at your price range. But in your list, I'd pick the Audi.. that angel eye is really eye catching.. and sexy as hell..

Reliable means the Audi, BMW and Merc are out. Fast means the G37x is out. Get an EVO X, you wont be disappointed except with the downmarket interiors.

At that price range, I would get a small SUV or pickup with awd for the winter, and a used 335i (not xi) for the summer.
