New AUDI A4 diesel available? EDIT: Booked BMW 3 CE

Hi

I am looking for Audio A4 diesel 2.0. However the dealer here in Chandigarh says the car is unavailable for 3 months due to some euro regulations.

Could anyone confirm with this.

Thanks

u're syt out of luck buddy...

If the dealer has it in stock, then u're ok - else it will be a 3-4 month wait. Ask the dealer for his Inventory list (monthly car variant delivery schedule) -this should give you an accurate idea of what he has coming in and when.

Wait it out if you need to - this is definitely the best car in this price bracket.

Audi may not be available in the A4 2.0 variant at a particular dealer. As they all get their inventories after indenting for the same months in advance (being a CBU)

Try other dealers, you may get lucky !!

Brilliant car - needless to say

Cheers

nothing- the car is pretty new (08 Fall), haven't seen/heard of anything - even if it does, it will be after another 2 years when the A5 gets a facelift.

My color of choice was the Meteor Grey but ended up with Ibis White since the wait was too long - it looks awesome! With beige interiors, it ends up looking roomier than it is...so good choice there.

Hi Guys

Thanks to the response.. there is another query.. I dont want it to be a audi vs bmw thread.. there are a million others threads...

How is the BMW 3 series CE at 24.5 Lacs? Its gonna save me 5 Lacs.. Money could be spent buying Thar ....... and its faster than the audi by a couple of seconds.. What you say? Is the worth the purchase.. Im gonna spend my very hard earned money on this..

Thanks

if you ask me purely between the 320d and the audi 2.0tdi i would say take the 320d anyday. its got 30+ horses more. of course if it were any other engine i would choose the a4. but the 320d CE is a great buy, you wont regret it one bit, ask any of the many owners on the forum.

Come on, it's your hard earned money, so you should decide the colour

I would take a bimmer any day though. For me, it should be alpine white.

Go through my thread for an idea of the short-term ownership of a CE. It's fantastic VFM, believe me unless you're finicky you won't miss the gadgets excluded from the equipment list. Diesel will mean it'll have better resale value than a petrol 1.8 A4, but that might be offset by the fact that in the next 1.5 years we will see a new 3-series. If you aren't bothered by that then the 320d CE anyday. Running costs will be lower with the BMW diesel.

A4 1.8 might not be satisfying with 5 heavies seated. Go test drive.

Try to contact other dealers? Gurgaon?
