Can one get a lightly used MX5 in India?

I dont know the details regarding the imports and why they suddenly dried up. The cars are quite scattered but I know of a number of cars in Mumbai and Chennai

Harbir...there is one in the classifieds for 7.5L in Ahmadabad and several at Choksi in Mumbai and other dealers scattered around...one I asked was quoting 7L but it did not look as good as the one in the classifieds. i think the one in the classifieds has been done up by Arush @autosyche in Delhi..hope this helps..i just bought a '97 FTO myself and getting a decent car takes forever!!!

Dead right Krish, even though a car may seem 'mint', there is always something or the other that needs to be put right. Just picked up a second Miata last week and ten days on still getting odds and ends done to bring it up to speed, although it seemed in very good nick when I picked it up!

My friend got hold of a Mazda Miata MX5 Roadster few years back.

The car advertised on the Forum is on sale for a long time, i cant comment on why its not sold. You can get one if you keep your eyes open.

Hold on.

The front bumper on that Miata/MX-5 has a strange resemblance to our Ford Ikon. The old one. That is a decent looking MX5. Love spotting them, even now. Reminds me of my childhood days.

Hi All, Sorry to bump up an old thread but i'm eagerly on a lookout for a Mazda Miata - Mx5. I have been offered the following two cars for around 6.5L and need your help in deciding which is a better buy.

(1) 1996, MH registered, 3 owners, red colour. The car is in Delhi at the moment and has got ABS, which i'm told is not available in models before 1996. I have not seen this car but it is supposed to be in very good condition. Will need to fly down to Delhi and incur a cost of approx 10K to take a test drive but the transportation of the car is included in the price.

(2) 1990, TN registered, single owner, silver colour. The car is in Mumbai and I have test driven it. The bodyline is clean and the engine is very good, tyres are ok but the paint and interiors need attention. There isnt even a decent deck so thats another expense. Overall, it is in fair condition but a good engine is the main usp of this car.

Thanks in advance. Also really appreciate if you can provide leads on any other good Miata's available for sale or any further info on the cars mentioned above, Thanks

incorrect. The 1991 I had in the US had the ABS option.
