what do you guys think abount pondy registration ?
Wont there be an issue with traffic police now and then? People used to buy from Pondy a lot to save of tax but rarely these days I guess.

Congrats on the buy

Hearty congratulations, Nirmal !! Your 3 was quite a piece of work by itself, I'm truly intrigued by what you are going to do with this one. The potential is immense, and the results can be dramatic. And of course, I trust you to tinker with the vehicle rather than leave it stock

Did you take delivery of the 5 series? If so, please do post some pics.

And IIRC, your 3 series had quite some performance modifications -- what are the plans for the 5 series?

Less than 2 lakhs depreciation if I ignore the upgrades is awesome.

You always wanted the 5 and the 530D only.

Many congratulations nirmalkrishnan! Btw a question (albeit stupid) for you - what made you choose the diesel avatar over its petrol sibling? Driving a BMW 540i here in US myself and exploring what she has more to offer is keeping me glued to her. I did see on BBC's top gear a comparison of the 5 series petrol vs the diesel. The verdict was diesel is marginally lethargic, as good in handling & better at cabin noise insulation.

Nevertheless, enjoy driving whilst being safe & considerate about others
