Help with Mercedes C220 CDI Executive Edition Features

Guys, we are planning to buy a new car. I am planning to go for either BMW 320D CE or Merc 220 CDI Executive Edition. I wanted to have Complete list of features on Merc but the website does not have any info on Executive Edition. Does anybody has the list of features available fore Merc?

Thank you guys.

As far as I know the C220 CDI is replaced by a much better new engine and it's now designated as the C250 CDI. Believe me it is miles ahead and a worthy buy, I am unsure if they have the Executive edition with the new engine but do call the dealer in Ahmedabad and you will get all your info.

In terms of features well I do know the 3 now has electric seats as standard and a few deletions in both were, Sunroof, Upgraded Sound system, Memory seats, Upholstery and trims.

I'd recommend the C because the 3 is now in its final year of life cycle and gets replaced in late 2011 or early 2012. But since you are in Gujarat, trust me the BMW dealership is miles ahead and better to deal with then the new Mercedes-Benz dealer.

The new C250 cdi has been launched and its a great improvement over the C220 cdi. The C220 cdi Executive is still available and its around 7 Lakh cheaper than the C250 cdi. No idea about the features though, you'd better check out with a dealer.

Thanks guys for reply. I did some research and found out that 250 CDI is not available in Executive trim, so have to settle down with 220 CDI If I decide to go for Merc. I filled up Inquiry form on MB's website regarding the features but haven't heard back yet. The problem is, currently I am in USA and coming back to india in November else would have visited the dealership. I am really keen on getting more info on Merc as I think no t-bhp member owns it whereas 320d CE detailed reviews are available.

Hi,

Like I said i've already given you the features that are not there so the rest is easy for you to guess but if you need detailed specs, get in touch with their sales manager Mr.Pankaj will PM you his email id, it's not his personal ID but someone should reply quick.

Regards,

Thank you GTO for the link. I have reached out to the Ahmadabad dealer and waiting for them to get back to me with more info. But looks like, we will be going to Merc only. Will update the thread as and when I will get more info from dealer.

Thanks guys for all the info provided, it is really helpful.

Got quote for Merc 220 CDI Executive Edition

Guys, I got the initial quote of around 29,00,000 OTR including Insurance and MB Secure for Merc 220 CDI White (Non Metallic). This does include swapping of regular grill with the one with big 3 - pointed star in the middle from Avantgrade trim line. I will get a quote of 320D CE in next 2 days.

I understand the point but the fact is BMW 320 is a the end of life cycle and is going to get replaced in very near future. I don't want to invest around 28 lacs in a product which is at the end of life cycle, on top of it, they are not giving any hefty discount which can attract me to go for old product.

What were the difference in specs between the regular and Executive Edition?
What price are you getting the car at?

The major one is engine: Executive Edition only available in C220 CDI and not in C250 CDI. The other ones are: No Sunroof, No electric seat adjustments, Art leather instead of genuine leather, No paramatric steering wheel, No COMMAND system and I believe 16 incher wheels instead of 17 ones. I got really good deal: around 28 Lacs OTR including insurance and MB Secure package as well as grill swap with the one from Avantgrade trim (One with big 3 pointed star in center of grill)
