The Diesel is available for deliveries from November 10th. I wanted to buy the petrol version initially but it came with shitty rims and no spare tyre ( only mini space saver which i didn't want ).

I absolutely loved the car interiors - the size was perfect for me...not too big as a 5 series and not too small as 3. although the car has no LED based exteriors which was a little let down but whatever i can live with it.

one this which was a bit annoying in it was the touch screen based ICE. Kinda used to the i-drive now without having to touch the damn screen.

Ended up deciding for Black XF Diesel S variant. While they haven't given the exact pricing to me yet - they say it will be around 48-49 ex-showroom. Dropping the check on Monday for booking

Congratulations Spiff.

Jags offer a fair bit of customization, what all have you put on your wishlist? What do they say about Indian service centers will these be standalone or share with TASS? Is the engine detuned for India in someway? We want more info brother.

Cheers! for the big cat

the service center is handled by JLR showroom only in Mumbai so wont be a problem, they told me they will provide a standby car as well whenever my car is for service.

Engine is not detuned for India and Diesel S variant pushes about 280bhp ...much much faster than my 530D.

Customization wise - had to live with what came with it, it comes fully loaded in India with all options except the Bowers and Wilkins due to Homologation process as Indian government requires a full size spare wheel and the B&W couldnt fit in it *cry* . Comes with 18" XFR like rims, sunroof, rear parking camera and all the other goodies tho!

^ congrats again for the fully loaded one.

What color have you opt for. Can we have some pics?

This one is directly pitched against the 535d and its an excellent saloon. You will have a ball, there is never a lack of power, however it wont be a brute like the 535.

Enjoy!

Both are good but IMO white. Would not only look as good but a lot easier to maintain and shine compared to the blue & im talking about say,...2 years down the line when the new-ness of the colour is gone.
By the way, i read that the Diesel XF has no Xenons ! Horrific! Is it true ?

True, specs wise it ideally would be pitted against the 535D but we were just discussing this in the XF Diesel thread, on basis of performance it goes bang into A4 3.0TDI & F10 530D territory, with the XF (6.4s) being 0.1 sec slower than the 530D (6.3s) & 0.2secs slower than the A4 3.0TDI (6.2s) to 100kph.
Just the other day we talked about the fact that how the lowest specced of the 3 is the fastest to 100 & 160kph.
A4- 240hp ,500NM
530D(f10)-245hp, 540NM
XF D- 280hp, 600NM

It all comes down to power to weight ratio. The Audi has the highest among the 3 if i am not mistaken.

I seriously think White in todays time is the colour to own, not only does it add a lot of presence but also is a very versatile colour in terms of how you want to look at the car, Formal? Yes, Sporty? Yes, Mean? Yes!

Ofcourse the end choice you need to think of but like others said, go for white, I just went that route and there is no looking back!

Regards,
