Car cover cleaning

Hello friends,

I use cover to keep dust off my car when parked. And the cover does its job wonderfully however cover has gotten very dirty after about six months.
So I wanted to ask was how to clean car cover?
thank you in advanced

Just dip it in a bucket containing car shampoo (for half an hr) and rinse it. That shud do the job.

Glad I found this thread through the search function.
I have the same problem and am worried that the cover will scratch the car.
Is the washing machine the best option. I seem to have dust on both sides of the cover (inside and outside).
Any other suggestions!

I have a plastic cover.
Not the normal cloth like silver colour cover.

The cloth like silver cover (tried 2 times) but did't last for more than 4 months in the chennai heat

Plastic cover is too bulky and washing machine is not an option.
I cover the car and wash the cover,
let it dry, turn it inside out wash again,
take the cover off,
wash the car.

Too complex a task so I don't do it that often.

Spread it across a clean floor, wash with a water hose and cloth detergent(both sides), rinse with plain water and then let it dry.

Not good to put cover in a washing machine otherwise latter will go bad
Yes put in bucket with soap for quick cleaning.
I take it along with car servicing so they trow some water on the cover while washing the car. Complimentary gift from them every time i go

Take it to the car wash place, have them spray it clean with a strong fan spray every couple of months.

put it in the rain. The cover. Of course, with the car under it. Does the job for me.

Else pour a couple of buckets of water before washing it.
