Advice needed for performance upgrade for the 1.3 Ikon

Hi Guys, I would really appreciate if anyone could help me know as to how can I increase the performance (in terms of accelaration and top-speed) of my 1.3L Rocam engine IKON. As it is still in warranty period, I do not want to go in for the major modification work. As of now, I plan to install the following:
1. Stock K & N Air filter or the Conical one.( which is better?)
2. Headers aswell the Exaust intake or only the Exaust.?
3. Iridium Plugs with the cables. ( Is it really needed?)
Please advice as to what kind of BHP increase can I expect, if I go in for the above. And also, would it affect the current mileage of the car ?

Thanks..

Hey,

First of all the all the stuff that you intend doing minor/major voids warranty. Now coming to your question.

1> Conical for power & mileage
2>Headers with complete free flow - expect 5-7% more power
3> Only if you intend driving to the extreme otherwise put Bosch Super 4 plugs will cost half the amount. OE Cables suffice for regular driving.

Technically your mileage should improve if the jobs are executed well but it all boils down to your driving style and how light you keep your foot.

Hi Viper, Thanks for your help, Also does it mean that the Bosch Super 4 plugs are only suitable when the car is not pushed to its limit.. or otherwise also they are recommended? And which set of Headers and Free flow is most suited for my car ?
