How did you test the timing? Companies and magazines use vbox and other professional equipment to test the 0 - 100, also it depends on ur driving style, gear changes, launch, tire pressure, fuel quality, overall health of engine which includes oil, filters, clutch wear, also the surface of the road, loose dirt on the road can also kick off your timing. Don't think there is a problem.

Even i've read somewhere on T-bhp that the OHC v-tec does 10.5 .
