Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

Can't help it man, hooked onto your contessa. Tell you what, I would love to restore a contessa to its original but maybe only with clear tail lights.

Also color as bluish as in link below or a sublime white is the one I may settle for as a personal classic car. Otherwise, for sporty I have told you earlier

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

I am hooked on this. A dream car for many of us.
By the way at the risk of sounding repeatitive, may i suggest a two door muscle car. The corvair as pointed out in the thread before, me thinks has the perfect rear for what is presented here. Check this out. The long droopy look if managed should look awesome.
By the way, any change in the engine ??

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

Congrats for taking up such a project, looks a Million bucks already. IMHO black or the blue on the contessa in post, along with those Corvair tail lamps would do justice to your mean machine. Update soon, results eagerly awaited.

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

Nice Car there Foby, congratulations, its a awesome car like. I envy you lolz. If you ask me I would suggest go for a dark grey or a silver metallic paint job, It might look dull to some but these colours really bring out the character of the car if you ask me. Have you thought about brighter colours like a electric bluee or canary yello with black or white stripes running all the way from the hood to the boot??

Any upgrades or mods planned for the engine?? All the best mate.

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

By any chance this car was bought from Muvattupuzha? The number looks very familiar.

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

If you do paint it black, a white strip down the middle would look great. And perhaps a glossier shade of black. I'm a dodge fan so I preferred those set of tail lights. Desperate for new pics, and possibly from a side angle this time.

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

super white with 2 black stripes or super white with a broad checkered black/silver stripe or bright yellow with dark blue stripes - 3 options from my side - can make your contessa look fabulous.
best regards. cheers.
expecting every day to see the updates.

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

Now that made my jaw drop. Having been over this forum looking at Contessas for over a year and a half, its safe to say that easily is the best looking one I've seen. Awesome job.

Paint job - plain and glossy black and lots of chrome. Best look ever IMHO. Take a look at the vid -

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

A Contessa rebuild! Yummm. I really liked the tail from the link that someone had posted - the Steve MCQueen one. I would suggest the Eleanor paintscheme. Google Ford Mustang Eleanor to see the paint scheme I am referring to. Cant seem to attach the picture.

+2 to that. Flare out the front and rear wheel arches. The tyres jutting out like that look ugly in a road car in my opinion.

I think the looks at the front and the side have been nailed. A little work on the rear tail light area and a great paint job and you're set.

Drive on,
Shibu.
