Re: The Conti story from Thrissur

Glued to this thread. Please post regular pictorial updates.

And please share the specs of those wheels and tires, asap. Aren't they fouling with the wheel well? Is the suspension modified?

Also please consider flared wheel arches to match the wide profile tires.

Yes , we had to chop a little for the free movement of front tires.

Re: The Conti story from Thrissur

Nice! Has that 60s Mustang look up front. I suggest blank out the rear door handles so that it looks like a coupe.

The alloys are getting more attention than the car.. though its my personal opinion.

Re: The Conti story from Thrissur

I've been seeing a lot of Contessa restorations these days, especially upwards from Cochin. My friend has recently bought 2 Conty's . Whats with it?

Coming to the topic, +1 to badboyscad. Add flared wheel arches, to give it a more muscular stance.

And, regarding the color, nothing like black with these chrome alloys, to give that mean machine look!!.. Or what about Subaru Blue?. But the glitch with both these colors is that, you gotta have a near perfect finish. These colors tend to project the imperfections.

If you arnt that confident with the quality of paint job, I would suggest you go for lighter metallic shades.

btw, if you dont mind, could you share where the work is being carried out in Thrissur?

Re: The Conti story from Thrissur

+1 for badboyscad for correctly pointing out for flared wheel arches.
dark blue, midnight black, super white - all glossy finish would make this a true head turner. you can also consider bright yellow, orange - if you dare to. try 2/3 colour combinations like the latest mustangs, for a change, as single colour would make the car look long and flat, while dual colours would make the car look nice and small.
am subscribed to this thread for updates. can you share the alloy wheels - tyres spec ? it would make other conti users known of the variety and alternate options available. any modification done to the PCD ?
best regards, cheers.

Re: The Conti story from Thrissur

I would suggest a bright yellow with 2 GT style black stripes down the middle, and a bonnet air scoop! I hope you are planning to flare the wheel arches like badboyscad suggested.

Re: The Conti story from Thrissur

Please excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard . Congrats! That is one of the best looking Indian cars I've seen in a long time.

Suggestions:

- Personally, I'd get the original Conti's thin, chrome bumpers. Look much better. But since you've already custom-fabricated for the front, I'd suggest custom bumpers for the rear as well.

- Custom lights for the rear are mandatory. Buy a muscle car set off Ebay USA and then squeeze them in.

I hope she's going to go as fast as she looks.

Re: Contessa story from Thrissur. My muscle car!

The car is coming out nicely.

Once fully done, she will be a hot head turner for sure.

Some ideas for the rear:
