Yes,That car is fitted with Bilstein B14 from Petes, which lowers the car by 20-25mm. Engine is remapped and brakes are upgraded.

Ouch! No doubt, its over done. But it is very practical during hot summer, lots of air vents for cooling system

I swear, I nearly mistook these for two Es.

The aftermarket lights on the Cruze, look really good and definitely worth the money, I bet!

Haha, the car must not be needing a radiator to keep the engine cool enough.

Like totally buddy.

There are many kinds of Aftermarket Tails for the Cruze like the BMW Style ones or the Reventon Style ones. But the E ones look the classiest.

For headlights the new Audi Style look the best.

Is this a new car? Does your friend use a special wax or compound to keep it shiny like this?

Re: Chevy Cruze mods

(To the moderators: I am unable to edit my last post, and this is not in continuation.)

I am looking for a 'gear shift indicator' for the Cruze. This was a nice feature on the Vento. It would tell you if you needed to upshift or downshift. You didn't have to agree with it of course.

Has anyone come across such an accessory? Offhand, I think it should be possible to determine the optimal gear based on

- car speed
- engine RPM

The running engine's characteristics would have a role to play and of course if you include higher order effects, then the suspension, tire pressure and also the terrain could be inputs. But this would likely increase the cost and complexity as more transducers and sensors will have to be installed.

The gear shift indicator should display

- current gear
- gear to shift into

Also if you're in the terribly wrong gear (like accelerating in the first gear, and talking loudly to people inside so you can't hear the sound of the engine telling you SHIFT UP!! ) it should sound or display some warning.

I know that the Vento has it. But perhaps other cars do as well? It would be nice to have such a thing as an aftermarket accessory for any car.

If you don't know that your car is in first gear through the drive feel, and you will be talking so loudly you cant hear the engine, what makes you think one little display on the dash will get your attention?

IMO its useful for newbie drivers, but not a necessity. Once you drive around a bit and learn the characteristics of the engine you can figure everything out yourself.

Akshay, it was meant to be a joke... .

I've never needed one myself because before I had the Cruze, I never had such an advanced car. Obviously you can make out if you're in the wrong gear, not just by the sound but also by the dynamics of the car. Every driver not carrying an "L" sticker knows that....

But being a gadget freak, I was impressed by a gear shift indicator on the Vento when I test drove it. I thought it would be a cool accessory to make. Surely, any electrical engineers on this forum who find instrumentation interesting will agree with me here.

Anyway, I think you read too much into my post.

Haha nothing as such.He just gets it waxed every 2-3 months.

You will be seeing a very different kind of shine on the cars in the pictures because these pictures have been edited.
