Re: The Baleno Makeover

Thanks K_shanz. The paint shade is the same one painted onto the Vento. Will get the names of the shade and update here.

The tail lamps came out well as per general feedback so I'd say that the subsequent pics might do justice to it.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

The design has turned out really great.
Any plans for graphics? May be stripe running across the car would be good.

Waiting for the final product, specially those tail lamps. Need to see how they turn out.

Is that the indicator light that you have switched on in the pic?

Re: The Baleno Makeover

Thanks SRK. No plans for stripes on the car for now as it would take the look away from the 'Gentleman's Express' idea that we are aiming at. This is because the ICEMAN will also be use for official HR business development visits for the IT field. But 2 white stripes will actually go well withas in the design should it be added later.

Those who saw the tail lights liked it - will appear further down the line.

Actually that is the tail light ring which later became the brake light.

Also the indicator ring is the one further inside - we changed the LEDs for this to get better intensity. The brake light ring was imported from Thailand and was not really up to the mark so has the occasional loose contact probelms on the ring on and off. The LED lights added here in India were fine so now we are clearer on how to do this better.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

Hey Guys,

Was following this thread for quite some time and guess what!
On a sunny sunday morning (Dec 4) @ Residency road (Near Purple Haze)
i spotted this baleno with the ICEMAN badge behind.

Since i was driving and got caught with traffic, i could not get a closer glimpse of the baleno and then eventually lost track of the car

Could see the tail lamps glow (the red peripheral ring looked cool). Would have been a much better display at night.

@Ramesh: Overall a neat job. (The front would have been better with a Mustang grill i felt) Just mu thoughts. Please do not get offended.

Thanks,
Ayyappan

Re: The Baleno Makeover

Well gentlemen presenting the final bodywork of the ICEMAN - other details are yet to fall into place here...

Post painting and giving the desired colour combination - the loud parts blended very well we thought into the rest of the car's shape - and even if you dont like it on first reception , we did find that it grew on us.

Also it stood out well from the others on the road when seen in retrospect.

And there is yet more to be done for the finishing touches...

Beautiful ! This is coming out much better than the Logan did. And good you all decided for the red instead of black.

@Ramesh: I am dead sure i saw the car (ICEMAN badge made me re-confirm)
Did not get to have a closer look. The car was a couple of metres
away and eventually lost track. Thanks to Namma Bengalooru
traffic.

r.k.ramesh-good job, congrats, infact its turned out better than the logan, the logan front end was really cool but , because you didnt touch the rear end it looked unfinished.bigger pictures would do more justice.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

WOW!!! Beautiful! More pics, please.

Just one suggestion though! Those ALLOYS dont do justice to the overall design of the car. An upgrade (both in looks and size) will do wonders to the overall look of the car IMO.
