Re: PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R

You can check with any sticker shop. Usually they have a wide range of colours. You can select the best match out of it. If applied strategically it will look good and will hide scratches

Re: PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R

the matching of metallic paint to sticker is not possible, there will be slight difference, so i feel that could improve the asthetics??

@ audioholic, i am inspired by you for CF vinyl DIY, though i bought it for about Rs.35/sq ft from china including free shipping, i am lucky to get it here in coimbatore for Rs.30/sq.ft of same. so i am gonna try new things... also have you tried door pad? or my doorpad is concave, deep in centre (like cooking kadai) so where have to start it from, is it from centre deep or from edge? as i done it to my door from edge, i wasted about 3sq ft, i shall post pics tomorrow

Re: PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R

Havent done much to the car so no doorpads for me. Only thing coming up is transparent vinyl for the ORVMS and some protection here and there. There is no other need as of now. By the way, 30/sft is killer. Could you post a close up of the texture? Also if you are willing then you could also ship me some of the vinyl, as even with shipping costs it comes upto less than what I buy it for!

EDIT: Aliexpress has a seller who is selling it for 2.5$ with free shipping but it says shipping costs 25$?

Re: PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R

it is available @ aliexpress, for $.2.51 for 30 cm x 127 cm piece, with free shipping, it is good. the material texture is available in my place, at Rs.30. but how to transport? it may get wrinkled. if you have any friends in coimbatore, i shall give to them. so to avoid wrinkles and transport damage, minimum to be purchase is 4 feet x 1 feet. .4 is width, and 1 feet is length, (width is std)

Re: PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R

Hello Guys,
I understand this might be a noob question but here goes:-
Are there vinyl wraps available with carbon fiber effects in white color??

I'm asking this cause I have a black car & I want to do the roof in white. Is repainting the roof, the only option? I'm not too keen on repainting.
If yes, where can I buy it & the costs involved?
Any help will be highly appreciated!

Regards,
Varun.

Hi Varun,

Found these on Ebay.com.

http://stores.ebay.com/AutoVinylSolu...sub=4775729015

Why dont you call up 3M Car Care and find out. They definitely should be having it.

Cheers,
Raj

Hello Raj,
Didn't expect a reply so soon!! Thanks buddy.
Just spoke to the person @ 3M Car Care. They don't have white one in stock. Guess I'll have to order from ebay. Do you know any Indian retailer/wholesaler?
Thanks again.

Regards,
Varun

You can get it in varied colours in any sticker shop. So you can enquire with a couple of shops. If they dont have it, they can at least guide you to the right place.

Photoshop help required for vinyl wrap.

Was looking to get my i10 some slight subtle 3M wrapping.
Was looking to get either the black or CF, but preferably black.
Below are two crude mock ups made in paint of the two ideas I have, would really like if someone could make it look a bit like what it would if the sections were actually wrapped in black vinyl.

Also, attaching original with just number plate blanked out.

TO MODS: Please merge with another thread if already exists.

Re: Photoshop help required for vinyl wrap.

Sorry, bud. But, I am not having my PC right now, which has PhotoShop.
I have done a Paint job on MS Paint from my Dad's laptop now. Hope it is ok.

Jobs done are-
1. The second vinyl you asked at the bottom of the bumper
2. Painted mudflaps
3. Smoked indicators
4. www.teambhp.com sticker

Re: Photoshop help required for vinyl wrap.

My MS Paint skill is poorer than you and I am not a PS expert, but you could cover the highlighted part. The creases on the bumper would compliment the stickering job. The number plates could be fixed over the CF sticker.

The image has been googled and used just for representation.

Re: PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R

Here is the picture as BlowHornOk suggested-
I have-

PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R-2011hyundainextgeni10rear.jpg
1. Painted the rear as said by BlowHornOk
2. Debadged the rear

IMO The earlier mod job, done by me, looks much better than this one. This is because the rear strip comes standard as black in lower variants of the i10 and would look a bit downmarket. The earlier job is better. The painted mudflaps feel rigid and along with the sticker job, provide an impression of false height and looks like a bodykit!

Let's hear nipcarlover's preference.

No offense, but didn't particularly like your idea.

Thanks a lot mate! This was exactly what I was looking for.
If you don't mind, could you do another small mockup for me? Same black vinyl, but in the front like below picture, with and without the bottom part. Also, could you please also do the ORVM in black as well? Attaching original as below.

Please tell if you require a head on shot, will try to get one ASAP.
Thanks!
