I`ve already seen these pics from your bhp-garage. When you take pics and upload try to get some close-up (macro mode) pics as i want to see how the CF weaving pattern will be seen under through the clear coat.

Sandeep has wrapped a Swift's bonnet in carbon fibre look vinyl. Due to the rounded contours of the Swift's bonnet, especially towards the headlamps, applying the film was challenging.

But it was well worth it as can be seen from the image below. This was taken as soon as the task was complete yesterday night.

I will add better images shortly.

Only a glossy black hood and roof would look cool on a white car of this shape, white is already a pretty lifeless colour, glossy black adds the much required zing. Try it.

On the Wagon R its better but still, its a WagonR after all, keep it a little subtle with cosmetic mods.


EDIT- The Red Swift above looks gorgeous.

On the Ikon however, maybe it is the camera angle or whatever, it looks cool.

Seems like a lot of people are getting it done. But my question is are there any RTO implications? I know that this is just a sticker and not changing the color of the car, but the sticker is covering the whole bonnet and is of a different color.

You can even print(eco solvent) custom colours on 3m vinyl, shouldn't cost more than rs.75 per sft. Most eco solvent printers have a width of 5ft. the roll is 150ft in length so large single pieces can be printed as well.
Use a good printer who has a mimaki machine atleast.
A more expensive type of print which will have a longer life is flatbed/uv printing. HP machines are good. Should cost between 150-200 per sft.

I printed a vinyl skin for my laptop cover as it was quite scratched, i will put up a picture in the evening once i get back home

I got these some months back via ebay.com. Nowadays its very common around, even much cheaper than what i got for. Try searching in leading car accessories who also do vinyl/PVC sheet and stickers.
