Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Too loud. Not to my taste at all. Golden wheels and (fake) diamond studded wheel arches? Can't believe this is coming from Kerala.

Agreed. Remove those (fake) diamond studs, the vitara badge from the bonnet, and it should be way better. I liked the wheels. At least, it isn't the BLING gold but rather a dark gold!

I think (I THINK) he was trying to replicate the flared fender extenders seen in Jeeps and Thars. As rightly stated above it looks okay apart from this and the Vitara badge!

I have seen many overdone dealer kits on Dusters and Swifts, however I'm not sure if they are official brand accessories. Are you sure that this was not just done up by the showroom and that it is actually an official Maruti accessory with part numbers that can be traced and sourced by any Maruti dealer?

Yes, it is an official accessory. Costs INR 5990. MSIL calls it the wheel arch kit. Covers the full width of the arch while the stock fills only about 50%. It can be seen in the first page of our Auto Expo 2016 thread for the Brezza.

However, the stock one is fully black and looks much more subtle. On the vehicle above, they have added those studs/ rivets to make it more loud.

And I am not sure whether that Brezza belongs to this thread either.

Yup, i specifically asked the attendant. He confirmed that it is from MSIL.

Not really 'modified', sir.
The loading bay lid is a company accessory. And, just the negative offset rims and the big chrome bullbar don't really make the cut; atleast that's what I feel.

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Hope this qualifies. Just getting started, but the list of mods as of now are -

Gunmetal wheels
Blacked out headlamps
Gloss black mirrors, roof and rear spoiler

In terms of performance only BMC performance air filters are present, but the to do list is quite large.

Individually these mods seem small, but they have made a massive difference to the appearance of the car.

Thanks bud, so it had never really launched. Handful of cars were imported and I have been lucky to get my hands on one. To be precise there are about 3 CLS63s in India. Out of which 2 are the pre facelift shape, and mine is the only facelift shape one. There was another facelift one which was crashed by overdrive mag as that was a press car.
