Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

The jeep logo was stuck before the grill. Not able to remove the logo without damaging d paint, hence left it there!

It is (rather WAS) a regular Mahindra Thar CRDe!!
The windscreen, doors, front & rear fenders have been modified; the dash-board is stock (but coloured black)

The body lines and hard top are very proportionate and aesthetic!!
The front and rear bumpers are of a beautiful design.
Overall, he has not gone overboard in ANY design element!

In my opinion, an excellent job!
But cost of modification is not known, but I assume it will be much lower than the Thar Day Break edition which costs a bomb - INR 9 Lakhs (approx.)!

At least this Jeep is street legal, usable and it will be a pleasure to be seen in!

There are a few jeep parts, the side view mirrors, the fuel lid, door handles, after market Jeep Wrangler tail lights and some decals that I could spot.

I am guessing that is Thar owner is someone working in Dufai or someone with Dufai contacts...

The transformation is awesome.

Just checked with Red Fox Autocare, the modification cost approximately 5 Lakhs and took 9 months!!

But in my opinion, it's worth the time and money!

That is one excellent Thar.
Wonder how much does it cost Mahindra to provide such a customised Thar instead of ugly contraptions it offers.

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Came across this post on Facebook.

A type I (2007) Innova has been converted into a type IV (2013) Innova by a garage called Autorounders.

Going by the pictures, it seems to be decent quality of work. Please note that I am in no way affiliated with these guys.

Looks brilliant! More pictures will be much appreciated.

Love the fact that the interiors are black and the wheels are aftermarket steel discs. Just the way it should be in a Jeep. Shows the owner knew exactly what to spent on. The front track looks a bit too wide, that's the only thing I would have changed.

Don't think that Toyota belongs to this thread. Even though it looks like the 2013 stock model, that Innova got ruined.

Best,
Enigmatic
In my opinion, the Innova has been ruined!

The Type IV Innova was the ugliest Innova ever manufactured, and if there was any need to change the 'type' of the Innova, the Type 3 would have been the ideal choice!

OT: This reminds me of the good old Ambassador days.
Whenever a new 'Mark' (Mark II, 3, IV) was introduced, enthusiasts modified the old 'Mark' to look like the new 'Mark'

An absolute exercise in futility!

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Spotted this Innova today! Can't make up my mind if it is tasteful or not! Rear looks good, left side is well executed right side is still under work. Even the front was modified. It is yet to be completed. You guys decide weird or wacky. The retro styling looked kinda nice. Those side steps need to go.

The rear!

PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India-img_20170216_135404.jpg

The front looked somewhat similar to this car from GTA5 but more sleek.
