Re: VW Polo by IDE|AutoWorks™

That's a well-executed project. And thanks for putting in all the details elaborately. The attention given to the headlamps and the vertical slats are awesome..

Waiting for September edition already!!

The mods on this Civic are very less as compared to the other stuff being posted here, but IMO it looks really nice with these minimalistic mods. Loved it!

Even though certain core parts like the headlamps and windshield are actual G-Wagen parts, quite a lot has been locally fabricated. The rims should complete the job.

The work is being done by a famous design-house based in Kottayam who has previously done an R-Class replica on an Innova and a Mini Cooper on a Swift.

Pictures provided by a friend, Nicholas Anathanam.
I hate to be the one that says this, but the replicas wouldn't fool me from a mile, and the place doing this hack-job shouldn't be referred to as a "Design House", it's insulting!

I would be the first person to stand up and appreciate the workmanship, but replication of an icon, apart from being a tough-ask, is just a letdown of the workers talent!

No offence meant to you scorcher!

I specially liked the alloys, would have preferred a different colour though.
I know where it is parked, so now i know where you stay. I too feel the same about the car, Black roof would have looked nice. To each his own. The car doesnt move too much from that place I guess? I guess, sometimes a few exotics too also arrive there (including a Force one)

Hahaha. So now when you nearby, we can have a cup of tea around!

Yeah, a Q5 is a regular visitor there. The person used to own a CR-V earlier, the garage is now shared with a Q5. I don't know who owns the civic, but yes, it is used sparingly.

Re: VW Polo by IDE|AutoWorks™

That's an amazingly executed project. The best part about the car was how you took an extra mile, to give the car a full striped treatment on all corners, including the OVRM's.
Also, the fact that you combined gloss elements on the front which makes the car look wide, very thoughtful !

Re: VW Polo by IDE|AutoWorks™

Nicely executed mods.

I would like to comment on one aspect though - the sticker of IDE Auto Works is placed on the vehicle too many times (roof, rear bumper, rear glass, side stripe, front bumper) - it looks like trying too hard.

Also, the vehicle will look more complete if you put some fog lamps at stock locations and paint the chrome VW badge (rear left of the vehicle) to black.

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Saw this amazingly modified VW Polo at Galleria. Think its the one posted by IDE.
Loved the detail taken care of and the Red Inlines and bits. And the VIN Number as the Vinyl. Loved the Car totally. Will be putting up more pictures tomorrow!

This Cruze is probably best looking Cruze in India IMO, The a Matt black Cruze by Motormind was also brilliant, but its such a breath of fresh air to see cars with custom paint jobs like this Gulf theme after the heavy dosage of matte vinyl wraps. Even they look good in certain shades but haven't we had enough?
