This is definitely a Tata 207 / Sierra bodyshell. Maybe fitted with a Safari engine (as the owner claims). Is there a market for such 'chop shop' vehicles..that too at the asking price advertised? It would be interesting to know at what price this sells.

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Bright yellow on an innova is a tough job to carry it off. but somehow this works. the grills on the hood looks out of place though and he should get hella's black magic to complete the look

That's a roof scoop and like you mentioned earlier, it's an air intake apparatus. While on the circuit, WRC cars have their windows fixed with slits (to give stewards the time cards). The roof scoop helps get fresh air into the cockpit.

So I'm assuming you've not played "Need For Speed" either

What the scoop is supposed to do is raise the air pressure inside the cabin, keeping the dust out while still allowing warm air to come out.

http://jalopnik.com/5893014/this-is-...ve-roof-scoops

In the aftermarket mods scene, its mostly a cosmetic mod most of the times since these vents are just stuck on the roof (or bonnets or sides) and increasing the drag co-efficient.

Cheers!
