Nice transformation, kinda hard to believe its not a paint job! So do these vinyl wrap tranformations need to be endorsed on the RC?

It all depends on how glaring the wrap job is. The above RR will easily pass as an OE paint finish. However Matt finish flashy colors could land you in trouble.

According to the store manager, few guys who got pulled up by the cops, managed to get away scot free saying that it's just a sticker job while the rest couldn't convince the cops with that explanation.

Practically speaking, most wrap jobs in this outlet are done on High end cars, who are well connected. Normally, cops don't mess with such cars unless they run a anti wrap campaign.

Hmm, I think such extensive wrap jobs should need an endorsment on the RC. This practically looks like a new/different car!

Reminds me of a few movies. The baddie would rob a bank in a black car, and while the cops are searching for it, pull up in a corner, rip off the wrap and escape the checkpost with a white car!

You could be legally correct. But consider the plight of people, who change car colors every 6 months? They would be spending more than half their useful life in the RTOs

For most car guys, vinyl wraps are just for the fun factor, when the vinyl looses its sheen, they strip and go for a different color.

Yes, I do realize most of the folks opting for such mods don't intend on using the cars in some illegal activity but how long, before someone notices and tries to take advantage of this. Somewhere something will happen due to the negligence being shown now and then Supreme court will ban wraps!

Anyway don't mean to divert the thread. Maybe we can discuss this in street experiences.

Am i the only one who feels that DC should stop ruining perfectly good cars on the outside ? The Polo looks horrible IMHO . As for the Green A7 , would look great on a High ranking military officer !

Well, DC mostly features on the W&W thread here (), so NO you aren't the only one who feels like that.

I have seen this car in Mumbai once.. I have seen matte Black Range Rover and many other "matte" themed cars but truly this is the best one I've ever seen. It was stuck in traffic for a while so I could adore the beauty for atleast a minute.

Also, just today I was telling a friend of mine about this same A7, describing how beautiful it was and today it is here

The Duster looks great. But I am not a fan of the antenna. IMO the Duster would have been much better without that antenna.
