Thats great Laxminarayan, Leather+Art-Leather was a wise decision and great for 17K. Do post some pictures soon.

Need some seat cover advice...

Last weekend I went seat cover hunting. I found 2 makes. One is the Art leather type(its actually a mix of rubber and synthetic finished to look like leather) and the entire set for safari will cost 3000rs.
But the problem is that it does not suit me very well. Our getz has it and often, esp in summers I get a rash after a long drive.
So the next option is Velvet type. Its soft and nice, and costs 3200rs, but the problem is that its a dust magnet. Have it in one of the Indica's and after a drive to the farm you can create a duststorm by just hitting the seats.

So I am looking for an alternative
1. It should be a non allergic soft material. So rubbers/fake leather and other such materials are out
2. It should be easy to clean. So velvet type is out too.

What other type of materials are available? I have seen some cars with towel type seat covers made of cotton. Is there a similar material available will be slightly easier to clean and not look so bad as towel type?
The material the seat fabric is made off looks good. Is there a seat cover which is made of the same material that Safari/Indica etc., seats are made off?

I had checked with Stanley for mu NHC GXi - the quote was 26K plus taxes. This is the entry level leather. I had been to their boutiquein Indiranagar and checked out on various options. I am impressed and planning to get the new covers next week.

Is it all leather or leather only for body touch areas?

When I went to hte stanley boutique in Indira Nagar, they said that they do not deal in seat covers - I could find only home leather furniture there. I was asked to go to the Mission road showroom.

Ask for the perforated ones

If you're going for the G-Sport, then try the perforated ones. They are my favorite .
