Hey Cool pedals, looks funky. Are they plastic or do they have some rubber on them for grip?

anyone knows whats a good 0-100kmph time for a santro xing erlx (2005) - i was able to get to 12 secs using a gps based measuring system (windows mobile gmeter). Although the readings are repeatable (and car speedo and gps speedo have about 1kmph deviation), I am not sure if this a good time or not. I checked somewhere its a 14.66 seconds for a santro xing.
I hit 30+ in 1st (launch was bad though with lots of wheelspin), 60+ in 2nd and then went all the way to 100+ in 3rd gear to get this reading. I have 185/60/13 tires (n alloys) as well as headers and a K&N cold air intake.
Any insights would be great given that this is a santro mods thread, I'm sure someone must have tried to time their runs.

Got it from Saudi. But you can get it in India too. Not that easily available. But few interested accessory shops keep.. In india it costs around 2K, (more or less 100), fitting 100 bucks..

Dude, my car reaches in 11.50 sec flat, 0-100, have santro Xing elx. I tried a more simpler way to read this. Asked a friend of mine to sit besides me with a stop watch timer. Tried it on flat road. Reading may vary, based on the road. I had got 12.15 on bit uphill side. I have CAI, 175/60/13.

thats a good time - I am guessing then I could be in the below 12 for sure if I avoided the 1st gear wheelspin (i am guessing due to some mud present). But any clue on whats the official 0-100 times for a stock santro (is it 14.66), so that we know if our mods have made any difference

I guess, your reading about the stock one is correct. But not sure though. I have a friend of mine, who has been with porting , polishing and weight reduction of fly wheel. His car goes 11:15sec, 0-100

Dude, they are steel. They have four clamps, which can be attached to the pedals with screw. They clamp at the back side of the pedals. Also, the front middle part, where we press the pedals, if of plastic, and have neons lights.
So brings up the glow really good.

I want to know the exact position of Catalytic Conventor, in the new Santro Xing. Is it some where near manifold?

As per my understanding, the cat con on a xing is located at the end of the downpipes, pic attached.

when removed, it is replaced by a mid muffler or direct piping ahead.

No the CATCON is directly beneath the Exhaust manifold. The Four exhaust pipes coming out from the engine end on the CATCON ... its a fat thing u can see it if u remove the heatshield from the manifold.
