Convex ORVMs for Palio?

Hey everyone. Sorry for having zoned out after my introduction. Was away on work.

I want to know if it is possible to get convex ORVMs retro-fitted to my Palio. The one on the passenger side, actually both, are (nearly) plane mirrors. That's not too good when you have two-wheelers zipping past.

Does anyone know if I can get the stock ORVMs removed and get convex ones? Also what would be the expenditure incurred?

@Mods: I tried searching for the topic and did not come across any results. Even so, please relocate this if needed.

@nvSports,

I second your thoughts. This change would really help us in Bangalore's traffic. like to know if it can be done.

Hmm....Not many seem to know the answer to this. I'm wondering if it's possible to contact a workshop to get a custom-built convex ORVM. Anyone has any idea if that's possible?

what about the small stick-on round convex mirrors?

Try them out - once you get used to it, you will love them

I use one set on my palio MJD. It s just OK in day and hopelessly unusable at night.

I was thinking of getting a pair of Innova's (or any other car's) mirror, which is bigger than Palio's, cut it into the shape of the OE mirror and get them fixed. But my work schedule doesn't spare me some time to try that out.

Thanks for your contributions guys. I noticed the debate on the fish eye mirrors myself.

@TomRider: I was thinking along similar lines. Maybe visiting a commercial mirror manufacturer and getting him to fashion convex ORVMs for my ride. I don't suppose it should be too tough. Then again, I don't know how easy or difficult it will be to get them retro-fitted.

The mirror in the red picture is the mirror that was available from 2007 in Wagon R and offers much better view than the ones in pre-2007 models.
The mirror in the blue pic used to come in the Vxi but was discontinued almost an year ago.
Their is a change in design and now they come in body color and look good.
They are motorized and cost Rs.7000 each .
Moreover it is not easy to source the wiring harness for the same because it comes as a part of the cars master harness.
