Do you know of anyone doing similar work in Bangalore?

re: Ford Figo - Projector Headlights, Light up the way!

Congratulations on the new HIDs. The à la Mini Cooper assembly looks super cool and lends the Figo a rather butch look in that front view.

That high beam illumination is quite remarkable. Highway driving should be a breeze now.

Not sure on custom fitments. How about Satya? I know he is more into ICE but heard he does or got contacts regarding projectors. Think I read somewhere here.

Quick question,

Naveen chip in with your views.

Can the swift's stock holder be painted black like this and fitted with projectors and those angel eyes/rings ?

Yes, it can be done. My headlights are something similar with no reflectors portion and everything is black. My friend and fellow bhpian got something similar but left the reflectors as it is.

I was looking for options over at Team-BHP for quite a long time. [list]

BTW where is the Sainath Auto Ulitmate located? Is it in Thane?
Yes the throw is bright, but will not bother the oncoming traffic unless you drive on high beams. In low beam the light cuts off below the windows. And low beam is more than enough to drive around in the city and also on our mumbai highways.

Sainath auto is in Khar, near Ramee hotel on S.V. road.
I had found one, NK Customz (Nikhil near Upvan), in thane who does projectors too. But he seemed uninterested in getting the business. He would not pick up calls sometimes, no callbacks, and tried to fix an appointment with him for a demo but never materialized. It was as if i was begging for him to take my money! That only meant that after sales service would be really bad. Vinit's place is a bit far away from Thane (30 odd KMs), but then good service was important for me.

Nice ryan
Can you tell me what was the reason for it conking off the first time and how old was it then? How was the issue handled by Vinit?

Thanks, it definitely gets the heads turning.
Yes, i am much more confident on highway drives now. Dying to go on a long drive though.

Looking at the long term reliability aspect, just wanted to know what parts of the setup could conk off at a given time? Is the projector lens subject to any risk of electrical faults? Or is it just a lens and has no electrical aspect?

If the lens is non electrical, then the setup should have hardly any problems, except for the HID and angel eyes? What brand HIDs are you using?

Im completely a newbie to the headlamp equipment hence the questions. Im worried because since I do a lot of night driving on highways, I want the setup to be as reliable as possible. Also in case an HID conks off, is the process of changing it same as with the OEM headlamp or do we need to open the entire cluster?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Angel eyes would be the first victim IMO, then HID's and ballast. Talking from personal experience, after using it for 2.10 years, the angels eyes went kaput some 6 months back. Everything else is working fine.

You dont need to open the entire cluster. Just replace the HID's but guess it would be quite tricky since some of the these projectors are placed in an awkward position and HID's should be handled with great care.

Hey, have you got a chance to take it on highway? Howz your experience so far?

I was planning for this setup on my Figo too. but a bit of hesitation as i had doubt about its longevity. It looks great and i really like the mini cooper-ish style.

One more doubt, The angel eye's color tend to look orangish on your setup.. Is it due to photo effect or you get that in that color? Do we can get this in whitish color?
