Re: All about Wraps and Wrapped Cars

Does these wraps come only in matt finish and are they resistant to scratches?

Re: All about Wraps and Wrapped Cars

I saw a Green Matte XUV at Bangalore, looks too bling but are these wraps legally allowed on cars?

Re: About Vinyl Wraps

looking to do a black roof wrap on my polo. very confused between these...

1. gloss
2. matte
3. carbon fibre.

Car is in delhi so you can take its climate and weather conditions into consideration. car is cleaned with a normal cloth by a person who cleans a few cars in our colony. thats pretty much all the maintaining the roof wrap will get.

Keeping above in mind which will be the easiest to maintain in my situation ?

cheers :-)

Easiest to maintain would be a gloss, considering less dirt. But, CF wont show scratches.

Get a Matte wrap. On a gloss wrap scratches will show up in a matter of days with the cleaning method described.

Not to worry, Easiest to maintain is matte wrap. I have been maintaining it for 2 years now and no issues have come up. I have instructed my driver to clean it with moist cloth and nothing else. If the wrap job is done with good workmanship then it wont ever be a issue.

Here is a pic of my car with matte and CF wrap on the roof at present.

Here is another pic of 2-tone roof wrap (matte black and brush titanium).

Hope it helps. Gloss Black requires a lot of care and even light scratches appear easily. Delhi has many places where in dogs and birds do feel free to raise their claims on a car roof and totally spoil it with their claws and paws respectively.

Thanks

PS: If you need assistance for wrap jobs I am just a PM away.

Re: About Vinyl Wraps

thanks a ton guys. based on your inputs i'm going to pick between matte black vs CF. mostly CF I'm going to call 3M, IDE, Retro and autopsyche for quotes. probably visit to see the quality of wraps provided. ad3952n sent you a pm.

Stick to either IDE or Retro for wraps. They do it pretty good. Both stock Denom if I am not wrong. You can also go to 3M if you want the best quality but their workmanship is doubtful. Autopsyche will be pretty good too but time for the wrap would be longer!

very courteous hosts who patiently explained me pros and cons of each type and answered all my queries.

went with avery gloss for roof. also got front and back vw logo blacked out. great experience.
