Shock absorbers n suspensions

Now that I came across few (2 or 3) reviews about the OHC's rear shock absorbers being a bit less to handle load, can some veterans / experts throw some light on this?

KONI replacement is a good choice of course but I wouldnt look to lowering the body.

I'm looking for shocks most suited for Indian (specifically the monsoon Mumbai kinda) roads?

This is a plain vanilla OHC VTEC owner who has a requirement to maintain it in a condition to move about with a family of 5 adults sometimes and also let the spirits loose and race the VTEC during other times.

Sad, I cant mod the VTEC like a teen's machine. But am looking for full utility.

Throw in your thoughts please.
