Modded Front Grill for the Honda City?

Hello
Team I will be taking delivery of a White Honda City Corporate Edition the next week, I am keen on getting this Grill on the car.

Kindly let me know where I can find the same or source the same from, also I was thinking to go in for Black or carbon black alloys ,do you think it will suit the car?.

It's the stock grille painted in matte black. The stock chrome emblem has been replaced with the JDM red emblem. The 'R' and 'Mügen' emblems have been stuck with 3M double sided adhesive.

Both black and carbon grey alloys look ace on a white car. What matters is the look you're trying to achieve.

This is not the stock grill painted black but a Mugen RR grill painted Black.
A picture of the Mugen RR Grill

The stock grill has three plastic slats on it.
My car has the stock grill painted black with the Red Honda Logo and RR Logos.

The Mugen RR grill wont fit your car because the grill and front bumper of the 2012 model is different from that of the 2009 model. The Mugen RR Grill was made for the 2009 city only. This grill is available widely in Bangkok.

Why dont you get yourself the 2012 Modulo Grill?

My bad. This is indeed the grille you've mentioned and not the stock one. Blame the low brightness of my smartphone!

Just a suggestion for Bopanna, stick to the stock grille and paint it matte black and get the JDM red emblem. Better than forking out for an all new Modulo grille in my opinion.

Unfortunately the emblem is out of stock now. Is the fixing DIY? My grill is of chrome, can it be painted to matte black.

Yes,the Red Honda Logo can be fixed easily as a DIY.I did it myself only.

The Red Honda Logos come with double sided tape already on them,so one just has to remove the original chrome honda logo, clean the surface area of the car, peel off the tape's protecting wrapper and stick it.

Yes,any paint shop can paint your original chrome grill to matt black.
I got mine done to gloss black at the honda service centre when the car was getting a full repaint.

Thanks for the DIY steps. In the next service will try to get the grille painted matte black. Will also keep checking when the red emblem stock would arrive.

My City color is Sparkling Brown, not sure if the black matte grille and red honda emblem would suit it. Any thoughts.
