Sunroof for my opel corsa sail please!

hi guys

i am interested in installing a sunroof for my opel corsa sail.i may sound a little dumb but apart from the terminologies i am not sure of the differences between a 'sunroof' and a 'moonroof'.i need to understand that first.

few omths ago in bangalre i saw a comapny that customised and fitted manual as well as electronically controlled sunroofs.being unaware of the cost i fel that they were way too expensive

please help and recommend.

ummm, time of day when u drive ?
Seriously, i think its an across the pond terminology difference. Obviously, the US and Europe cannot call it the same thing, can they ?

Don't even think about it unless factory fitted, leaks, panel flex, clogged drain holes, rust etc.

One of my friends bought a santro fitted with webbasto manual sunroof from this Nimbus hyundai in noida. they charged him 7K extra. On see the fitting it was awesome it didn't look/feel after market. The popup/ manual roof acts like a good exhaust, but if u have a automatic roof u can have ur gurl stand up thru it and u can enjoi the view

There are no water leaks or air leaks or even sound leaks in my friends car, plus the glass is contoured according the to roof hence it doesn't look odd when viewed headon. And the Glass is tinted. I'll confirm the prices for manual and automatic roofs from the dealer as what i heard from my friend was that the automatic one costs around 15K+

I didn't have any such issiue till now inspite of have the car for a good 1.5yrs and driving in all sorts of conditions(except snow)

Only prob is that when u drive over broken roads, u'll hear a small rattling sound. But its very very small. When i went to get the prob rectified, i was told it was the case with all sunroofs on all cars.

Note that the rattle is very very minumum..

The webasto ads have a picture of a corsa sail with a sunroof. I had a webasto tilt and slide in my old Safari and as long as I kept the drain holes clear I had no problems. leaves in the drain holes = incar shower!

stevie, go ahead with it, webasto has come a long way providing good after sales service to its customers, i have personally installed about 20 of them this year. I would suggest the 300L Dlx. Get it serviced with your dealer every six months.

hellspawn, this is a freedome, full glass panorama view... the front half slides over the rear half.

manual popup is tricky... i cant figure why anyone would want a sunroof if it cant slide open maybe thats why i havent installed even one of those as yet.
