Yes, those are illegal.Only because they are small, the one on the ikon is legal.
I too have seen many different kinds of plate and they say only certain types are allowed.
You can ask rio to fabricate something for you, which doesnt require drilling your kit.

Do you have a turbo??
If no I think something can be done on the mesh grill!!!

Honda dude even I rev the car a lot but I don't think you need that BIG a grill and that much more amount of air. What you can do to avoid getting stopped again is to get a bigger plate like the one on the Ikon mounted via two screws on the exact same place that the current one is mounted on. It will hang down a bit and won't look that good but it will be road legal. Basic issue depends on whether you prefer illegal for looks or legality for a slightly less elegant look.

No kpzen the font is also illegal as it is too small to be readable from a distance.

Your plates are illegal. The RTO insists on the following specs for cars 65mm ht, 10mm thick and 10mm gap between letters in block letters in English and arabic numerals only.

According to the regulations the letters need to be atleast 2" in height, any smaller and it becomes illegal as in your case. I use 1.25 in the front and 1.5" in the rear though... heh!

It it legal, only if the no. is visible clearly from a distance. Like everyone said, it should be 2" minimum. Ive had such no. plates on my cars since 3 years now. Absolutely no problem, whatsoever.

Delhi rocks. Lotsa ppl with fancy number plates. But generally they are not stopped.

OT.
To make his number plates unreadable.. my friend has hung a sort of black rope kinda thingy(that people put for good luck) right over his plates.
and u cant see 2 letters on the plate... It avoids red light challans as he says.

Disclaimer- i do not support illegal plates, obstructed plates and No plates at all wala concept ;-)
